I agree to some extent that hairbrushes can tickle, its very rare but all the same
I'm very sorry, but I have to disagree with you. It is not rare at all that hairbrushes tickle. It's quite common, in fact. Granted, they don't work on everyone. For some it's uncomfortable, while it doesn't do anything with others. But I'd say at least half of the candidates/models I've worked with were at least moderately to extremely sensitive to hairbrushes. In several cases it was the most effective technique. So no, it's not remotely rare.
If you look closely at the vids where feet are tickled with the hairbrush, they are not tickling gently as you should
Should? What do you mean, should? Is there an official way people are supposed to tickle? I think this thread, as well as many similar ones in the past, have made it very clear that people react differently to tickling, and this applies to the various techniques/tools used. Some are very sensitive to light touches, like light fingers or feathers. But many others need rougher techniques, including on the feet. Kind of the equivalent of "muscle tickling" for feet. Digging deep with the fingers and using harder prickly tools like combs and hairbrushes are more appropriate for them. And this is very common. In fact, I think I've worked with more models who required deeper techniques than light ones for getting the best results. For instance, I've had many more models react well to hairbrushes than to feathers. Quite frankly, despite being traditional symbols of tickling, feathers aren't all that effective on most people (especially on the feet), at least in my experience.
If you look closely at the models faces, you can see that they reacting in a certain way to make the vid entertaining. If something tickles I'm all for it but it has to tickle, not hurt.
I'm sorry, but again my experience is very different from yours. I never use a hairbrush when it's painful for a ticklee. But that's ok, because it's often very effective, and genuinely tickly, without any pain. And like sclubtickle said, hard pressure isn't required most of the time. Just running all those little balls against the soles is usually enough (though getting rougher may be useful with some ticklees). I'd be very curious to see some examples of what you feel are models who are reacting in a painful way to hairbrushes. It can get very intense, to the point of being nearly unbearable for some people, but it's because it tickles them a great deal (which can result in intense, possibly agonized facial expressions), not because they're in pain.
For the record, I'm personally not a huge fan of hairbrushes. They're not as natural as fingers, and some models have a hard time using them effectively. They also hide the feet more than fingers do. However, I do use them sometimes when I find out that a model needs something prickly to get her going real good, especially when it's the best tool to use on her feet. But if a hairbrush isn't more effective than fingers or other tools I prefer to avoid them.
