What are you thankful for?

Though we are not celebrating Thanksgiving in Europe, right now is a time for me where I'm extremely thankful for a couple of things.

First of all my family who is going OUT OF THEIR WAY to support me in ANY way possible. I'm very blessed to have them. :grouphug:

The same goes for a couple of close friends who are there for me whenever I need them.

And I'm very thankful for my workplace. When I told my boss I will probably be out for another 4 months I was really concerned they might not be able/willing to keep my job for me for such a long time, but all he said, was 'Don't you worry at all! Now it's time for the company to support you and give something back to you'. How great is that!! :bowing:

Well and last but not least I'm thankful for my fighting spirit :xpulcy:

I'm also thankful I wasn't one of the many natives that were slaughtered for this day to come about.

Amen sista'!!!!

Unfortunately, some of them (Choctaw's) were my relatives. But you can't un-ring the bell; you just have to move forward and live life as if their sacrifice wasn't in vain.

I'm thankful for dating a guy who's making me realize that most of my past boyfriends have been assholes.

I read this and smiled;

I'm glad for you TG, and I wish you all the best!

I'm thankful that England is the best country in the world, and that the Foo Fighters made and released 'Learn To Fly'. Awesome tune. Plus, the video is brilliant.

I am thankful for what my parents done for me all this years helping me with anything at anytime. And that i got the chance to live in another country with my family for almoast 5 years it was in Iran between 1973-78 it was a great time in my life. My friends on this forum who have shown they care about me , support me when I am struggling to get where I want to be in years to come, and friends that help me celebrate when there is good news to tell:wub:

My spirit that drives me to not settle for how I am treated sometimes and to have the passion, drive to set my goals, and not sell myself short

My collection of music that helps me to lift myself up ,cry tears when I need to release pain, sadness, and the songs that relax me and show me that sometimes my problems in my life could be alot worse .

I'm also thankful for odd new experiences...

Today, I milked a goat! :bouncybou

And I just have to take a moment to specifically echo one of Jan's suggestions -- people who never get the praise they deserve, and sacrifice so much -- our American Service Men and Women. They've given so much, sacrificed their time, effort and too often, their lives... ...and they continue to do so without question or complaint.

They deserve our utmost thanks.
