I think unfortunately a challenge would lie in “capturing” the nuance of foreign tickle talk. I know I’m triggered by certain words and how it’s said. yes, technically I could just slap one of my regulars in greasepaint, but a clown is more than just the makeup. It’s a personality, a willingness to be silly and have your personality entertain the fuck out of people. Lolly was a clown in every sense of the word, and while a lot of my girls are still personable and fun it’s just different in a way that I can’t explain to you unless you actually stand them side by side and compare. I worked with a new girl over Thanksgiving who was also a clown. I didn’t know it and only found out when I asked her what she was into during a break.

As an aside, clown makeup is actually a bitch to apply and not have it look like shit, so there’s that. A normal girl in greasepaint is going to LOOK like a normal girl in greasepaint.

But let’s throw all of that aside for a moment. Lolly was not expensive because she was a clown. Lolly was expensive because I had to pay for her travel expenses to come up from LA (long story) and I would not have done that if I didn’t look at her resume and think “holy shit, the customers are gonna love her”, precisely because she was so different and fun and the people who hang out in the images forum go nuts over Harley Quinn and obviously there IS an interest in clowns. So I hired her and she sold exactly nothing. Or do you think it’s too much to expect that a model pulls in more than $20 if she’s a genuinely good ticklee?

I mean cmon, I posted pictures of her RIGHT HERE because you asked for it and another guy said they were hot but I haven’t seen any purchases. You guys don’t buy the shit you ask for. As a producer, it blows my mind. I notice no one bothered to address this the LAST time I brought it up, either. They never do. Come on we're not talking about Ingmar Bergman here! The dialogue in tickling videos would not be super hard to translate. And French and English are not extremely different to begin with (thanks to William the Conqueror's invasion 😉) so few subtleties would be lost in translation, at least not as many as with for example, Chinese. It would be a lot of work though, that's for sure. When I translated a 15mins Frenchtickling video, it took me an hour.

I agree, but he has also some pretty torturous ones as well. Have you seen the vids he did with Alyx (one of the prettiest girls I have ever seen in my life, by the way) or Ambre and Eva? Not too put too fine a point on it, and this isn't a personal slight, but I don't buy your videos (or ones that are filmed in a similar fashion) because there's too much of you in them. Even in previews, it looks like you're blocking a fair amount of the action (and the 'lee) due to the camera angles.

A ler can use a phrase like “Is this striking a nerve?” as a playful pun when teasing a lee. I’m not sure what the ‘best’ French translation would be. Perhaps “Is this having an impact?”, maybe simply “Does this tickle?” Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it...and it makes all the difference to me. That’s the only point I was making. Whatever teasy words/phrases French speaking tickle fetishists may use that produces that same rush, I wouldn’t know.

I wasn't really concerned with "what a clown is", I was concerned with the visual. I'm pretty sure "vanilla" porn producers that put a "clown" in their material to screw or be screwed aren't really worried about "what a clown is" if they're pounding/being pounded away. Authenticity is nice, but ultimately you're the one who's getting the clown experience, the visual just comes to the customer. The girl didn't really look that ticklish, nice as the gesture was.

But again, I'm just a ler with idle fingers that was recalling the things he never sees in videos.

I honestly cannot blame Solemates for trying to strive for authenticity. It's really awesome that producers try this kind of stuff, and it should be encouraged. If more of them did this kind of thing, our videos would be very original. I am still waiting to see whether someone would hire a professional CIA torturer to break a model on a black site lol 😛

However, Solemates, as commendable as your effort is - and you do deserve your share of praise, don't get me wrong here - you might have missed the point with the Harley Quinn fans who "fap themselves to death on the artwork forum" (I ed when I read that 😉). Harley Quinn is awesome not because she's a clown, but because she is a pretty, sadistic female who has a complicated relationship with one of the greatest villains in comic book history. It's the character that is interesting, rather than her aspect. Try to hire a professional actress playing Harley Quinn in a screenplay reminiscent of the best Batman episodes, and you'll see the attention you'll get from those fans, possibly crossing even to the Vanilla sphere.

That being said, pro clowns are real showmen, who when they are good they can be pretty amazing. Tapping into that for a tickling video is really a great thing that you did.

PS: I love it when a producer says "my girls"; it always gives me a shiver. It brings up nice images of a harem... Imagine Sablique von Lux, Kelli Lynn Sage, Tasha, Dee, Jade, Bianca, etc... locked naked in a hot albeit luxurious room with nothing but themselves to play with all day, until once in a while their master visits them and picks a handful of his favorites for a shooting. Personally I think it varies from video to video, but I'll see if I can't do something about it for future releases. I can see how it would be a problem.

I agree. For a straight porn clip, it wouldn't matter at all. For a tickling video, though, I think that the personality of the model is extremely important (as do a lot of other people, apparently). A clown is pretty much the ultimate in "fun" in that regard - dull people don't don the nose, so to speak. Again, though, please don't think I'm singling you out. That other guy who thought the pics I posted were "hot" didn't buy anything, either.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it was your presence that was the issue. M/F videos don't bother me; it was more the framing and camera angles I was referring to. I like FT because even though there's a goofy dude doing the tickling most of the time, he's relatively unobtrusive, meaning he doesn't usually block the view of the 'lee, and everyone looks like they're having a good time. I like women, so I like to see them in a video. That's really all I was saying.
