I teach college.

But my current job, a one-year appointment, is about to end. If I don't get hired for another full-time college teaching job, I have two contingency plans. One is to move in with Maniac Tickler and be his private tutor, working on his comprehension of American liberalism and a few related topics. But if my best efforts to get that invitation fail, I'll probably move back to the New York area and do some freelance editing and part-time teaching while launching myself as an author of non-fiction books.
