I told my jobs my best friend was getting married, and they were cool with letting me have the time off
Reunion, birthday, wedding. I'd probably go with relatives birthday myself.
Hmmm that is a good one Mammers09 the only problem and downfall of that , what if later the boss and coworkers would want to see pics?

LOLcute idea though, out of town, out of state wedding, interesting. Oh PS LOVE Your new Sig Pic, you are gonna have many guys and lots of people wanting to tickle you bad, you are a sweetie, love to meet you someday and love for us to become good friends HUGS really hope you keep that new sig pic it is sooo you
You could always call off dead. Then when you go back, just say you got better. **shrug**
I've decided to go with a much BETTER excuse. Just told who I needed to that I am going to an annual social event & that's all I really have to tell that person. I am very excited about NEST!
Except for the advice about calling out because I died (I know it was a joke but I didn't think it was funny), I really appreciate the good advice on here

I actually need to provide a reason for time off in the paperwork I fill out for time off. I said it was a family wedding. No one at my work is close enough to me to want to see pictures.

I agree. Don't lie. Lies are hard to keep up with. Half-truths, however, are very easy 😛Here's advice - don't lie. Seriously, no matter who you're talking to. You don't have to give the whole truth; call it a reunion as suggested, but trust is a hard thing to regain.
My company always wants to know why as well. In the past,I`ve always said I was going on a killing spree, and suggested that I could start at work if they refuse... They`ve always let me go since then without asking too many questions...
That's what we're doing. I'm not so close to my coworkers that they would want to see pictures from the wedding of an out-of-state friend; plus, I could always say that I don't have any. Not everybody gets married in a church with everybody carrying a camera, after all.A wedding.
That is what someone else I know on this forum is doing.
