I find this funny. Shemp Day is great. Yet I've never been to NEST or any other gathering. I'm not in "in crowd" or anything like that. I realized what Shemp was about after last year's debacle. Like I've said in an earlier post, you either laugh or you get mad. I rather laugh. 😀
 
I won't even bother reading the four previous pages. This is done every year, by the owner of the forum and few people he needs to help. Not a clique of 10-20, a couple of people. It's their way of pranking on the forum. You won't die, you won't loose masturbatory reflexes, if you feel like you are on the outside, you probably are with everyone except the 3-5 pulling it off. If you don't like it, don't look for six hours, then come back and enjoy everything you normally do, along with about 3-5 new posts of people crying. There is no giant inside Shemp history other than Shemp Day. It's easy to search "Shemp" and see back to the beginning. Not sure if it is supposed to mean something? Ask a friend that's been around. Feel like an outsider? It's because you are as it is being pulled on everybody, by the person that runs the show.

Do you honestly piss and moan if your best friend pulls an April Fool's prank on you? You know it's coming, April 1st, EVERY YEAR. New people are definitely caught off guard. Vets, you know its coming, and this year there were even warning signs during the week as Shemp's name was floating around. This is admin's prank day, every single year. It's not gonna stop. I completely missed the whole thing accidentally, just by running errands, so why can't you not sign in if you dread the scary changes for a few hours? This is the same drama, every year, so by Friday this thread will have vanished into past pages, everything will be back to normal, and we'll look forward the the new version of this thread next year. 🙂

I'm not a member of any clique. I loathe cliques.
Never been to a gathering, never been to NEST.
And I don't know 99.9% of the people here.
Frankly, I think basing 'friendships' on the basis of sexual proclivities is fairly lame, and in some cases, wildly inappropriate.

But I know a good prank when I see one. And this one was funny.

I just don't get all butt-hurt over them.
 
I havent been here a year and didnt see the shemp thing last year and didnt know anything about it but i thought it was funny and calm down people its a joke

Like others have said its done by the people who run and or pay for this site to stay up. Its not yours and you dont do anything to keep it going, wether or not you find it funny a lot of people do and its a damn joke.. seriously get a sense of humor and unbunch those panties

If you cant and its seriously that big of a deal, this is done (apparently) every year around the 4th of july weekend so just done come here for that day.. simple fix

OT : If this forum of just over 80k people from all over the world can not get along and have fun for ONE DAY. How in the hell does anyone expect world peace?

On topic, i found it quite funny. Shemp is a three stooges dude. I have never been to a gathering or munch or met anyone from here. What i have done is be decent to people that are decent to me. What i have done is go into the TMF radio shows, listen in, offer my take on whatever topic is being talked about. I've never called into a show, but if shemp day is talked about i may just have to.

As i said in my very first post. Interact with the community and the community will interact back.
