She espouses views with which I take great pause, and is a divisive fucktard to boot. I'd imagine that 95% of her divisive and polarizing language is done because it sells, yes, but I can still be glad that NBC banned her for that reason.

Well, MSNBC did a similar number on Phil Donahue several years back. NBC and MSNBC are equal-opportunity muzzlers I'd guess.

As for Ms. Coulter, she's apparently very good at her chosen profession, which is to drop verbal bombshells which are meant to get the True Believers all worked up.

She's ridiculous. I don't think she believes half the things she says, which is not just cynical but reprehensible given how hateful those things often are.

Her first book was a relatively mild, fairly reasonable work of conservative thought. Then apparently she noticed that only its most inflammatory bits got attention, so she proceeded to abandon reason and principle altogether by writing calculatedly outrageous screeds that didn't make any sense but attracted tons of mainstream media attention (and, thus, book sales). She turned herself into an empty-headed caricature for an easy paycheck and contributed to the steadily declining quality of American public discourse along the way.

Michelle Malkin is wrong about things just about as often as Coulter is, but at least I think she believes in what she's peddling.
