A "friend" of mine...Well, not even really a friend, just someone whom I talk to occasionally, made an interesting remark to me yesterday. Now, this person has always been VERY quiet and anti social. I think he has confidence issues. According to my dad, he tends to shy away from others and is alone most of the time. I wanted to get to know him better, so I approached him and asked him how things were. He said "same old shit, different day" ... I was a little caught off guard by that statement, but what came next was a real shock. I said "Hey man, I don't wanna pry... But it seems to me that something is always bothering you. I think you may be suffering from depression." Maybe I was out of line saying that, but then he replied "I don't know whats wrong with me, but I'm sick of this life. I'll be better off dead." I told him "Better off dead? What do you mean?" He then told me to "mind my own buisness" and walked off. I think this may be a desperate cry for attention. What should I do?
