I could hardly believe what I read on the site today, that you, Obelsklk, are intending to close the site after existing memberships have run out.
And again, the whole way you have announced it and your intended plan shows your integrity and sincerity as well as your cincern for your customers. That is one of the main things that I have apprectiated about being a member over these years.
While I am sad that this should happen, I can understand your reasoning and wish you all the best in, as you have put it, moving on.
I can only hope that you will make the old TT material available for sale, perhaps on a clips4sale sote, so that those we have missed from years back still be bought.

i appreciated the detailed explanation for the closure and fully appreciate the reasons that have made it necessary. My only wish is that i'd joined sooner!

In the early days of TickleTown, it went up and down like a damn yo-yo, due mostly to the difficulties of securing a reliable webhost. But now the site's being retired in its current form voluntarily 🙂 It may make a return in the future, but I think I'm done with the days of paysites. It was an awesome run, and I can't say this enough, I couldn't have done it without you guys. We've produced a large amount of material over the years, and that's because we had support from a LOT of people. Both financially and just general 'go get em' kinds of email and posts.

I will consider making older clips available to people. Right now my life doesn't warrent me much time to do things related to the site anymore (which is a big reason why it's coming down), but you never know when things might clear up.

And I want to stress something here that Mart brings up. PLEASE if you have a quarterly membership, please cancel it today! The site only has a limited number of updates left (March might be the end, I'm playing it by ear, but I'd like to do an April update as well), and I don't want anyone to feel like they've been ripped off by us. So kindly cancel your quarterly accounts (if you cancel you still have 100% access to the site until the subscription runs out). In the event your subscription runs out before the site does, you can always resign up on a monthly basis.

And for everyone else, your subscriptions will be auto canceled for you when the site goes kaput. I'll try to make this as easy as I can for everyone 🙂

(and for those that are still reading, I might be open to any crazy ideas about older files. So if you post here or PM me, you never know which of the older models you may have missed might be available to you in the April edition *hint hint*)

late update, yes ok fair point, but often down to server problems not general laziness.

fake tickling - no. Surely its obvious from the clips that the reactions are genuine - otherwise every girl would be ridiculously ticklish and i've seen a numbe of tickletown clips where a girl, or a certain spot on her body, is not ticklish.
take a look at Jana, nicole, sarka for some genuine ticklish reactions - or suzi for another example on non-faking where her feet are only ticklish to start with then it wears off.

anyway, thats my thoughts, the path is clear for you to do a better job now john!! RIP tickletown

While I acknowledge that my involvement in the site is equivalent to a part time job at best (meaning there's always going to be someone out who does it better), there's a couple of points I'd like to make here:

The March 2006 edition of the site has 26 minutes of tickle footage available for less than $6. This isn't 20 minute of "setup" story time, with 6 minutes of tickling, it's all tickling. So kindly point me to a producer that has reliably and consistently offered 26 minutes of brand new material for $6. The going market rate for said footage would be at least $25. If you don't believe me, feel free to browse clips4sale.

As far as the fake tickling goes, I've heard that a bit over the years. And I still say to this day, it shocks me to go onto a tickle fetish site, and how many people honestly don't have the first clue about what a genuine tickling reaction is.

Our material is not for everyone, and never has been. It's a niche within a niche. Not only is it a tickling niche, but it's also a girl-next-door niche. We've always treated our models with 100% respect for the people they are. We've never debased them on or off camera, or insinuated in any way that they were just hunks of flesh. So yes, that is a niche, and unfortunately isn't the norm in the adult entertainment industry. I've heard stories that just make my mouth drop.

But it's not fake. The stuff we've done over the years is footage of very real young women being tickled for the first time in their lives for more than just a couple seconds. Its their genuine reaction to the situation. Some laugh, some giggle, some try to hide their reaction, some kind of shake and laugh silently. Depends entirely on the woman, her personality, her physiology and her upbringing.

That is exactly why I liked the site well enough to retain a membership consistently over a long time. The genuine respect for people, be they customers or models, or, probably, anyone else, is what was apparent in everything you did. I have never had a fantasy to manage a concentration camp, and tht is what much that is said here often reminds me of.
On the other hand, there are also few genuine producers that I feel overtly critical towards - I generally quite like what is offered here by all but a very few sites.
But Tickletown was the first site I joined and I am genuninely sad to see it go.

Its not because i find that a movie suck that i have to go and produce my own film....I find the tickling fake..u know fingers barely touching the soles..camera angle a la Fm concepts...and wiggling at the wrong time...and as for a the 5 clips per month for 6$ well i guess u should charge more next time and put all ya update in one month😛 instead of delaying on one year

Ive followed your work since the days BEFORE the paysite. the stuff you have done and the stuff you and wallstreet did..were classic. NO i didnt like ALL of your stuff but the price was damn near free so how could some one resist. Even the dudes that are on here saying that your site "sucked" ouldnt resist the low low price of $6 thats prolly why they bought your subscription. I mean it is clear that you were not trying to get rich but rather sharing because you truely loved tickling. $6 is usually what 1 clip costs. Tickletown harkens me back to the good old days of internet tickle-fetish when people shared their tickling experiences for free, instead of charging $6 for a 5 min clip. I will miss you dude!
and I hope you settle up what you have to in your life and come back soon.

Sorry to see Tickle Town go. But, life comes first. I've been there myself. It's always a hard call to make.

One thing I noticed when I just pulled up the site... The links to join are still live for subscriptions. I was wondering if it might not be a good idea to redirect them to a page announcing the site closure so that you don't have others signing up having not heard of the plans to close down. Just thought it might save some headaches.
