You can't "test out a model" like that. You check them out in content previews others producers or buy the producers content for further research. In other cases, you take the model at their word and hope for the best. I hear about some producers that "fire models" but they generally will just have them do other stuff and pay them as agreed and never hire them again for tickle shoots.

If you have a reputation for firing models because you felt they weren't ticklish or whatever, you will have an even harder time booking on the pro side. There are few tickle only producers in part because you need a back-up plan if the model's reactions are not what you hoped they'd be. Some models are ticklish, but their reactions aren't the type that would yield sales.

Book for a short duration the first time - models generally have a 2-hour minimum at least $100+ per hour for established (have own store, model releases, etc.) producers. If you're a foot tickling video maker, you're even more screwed if the model's reactions or ticklishness falls drastically short of expectations. In those cases, a professional would eat the costs and try to find some way to make do in whatever fashion makes sense.

For me, I double down on foot worship, trampling, or foot domination stuff. Another hedge is to hire two models, ideally one whose ticklish reactions meet expectation, then you could also turn the model who didn't meet expectations into a ler. That is of course twice as expense.

SoleMates is spot on. "Testing" could be done in a session format, but then one would/should pay session rates for that. Essentially the first shoot is the test. I can't speak for SM, but generally my first shoot with a new to me model is shorter than I'd traditionally do if I have no idea of their ticklishness beforehand. In no situation should a model be "tested" first by a producer without compensation. At least, not if the producer is on the up and up, and the model knows better.

I go with my gut. Pro models come with references, and at this point as far as I'm concerned the rule of thumb is, they don't offer tickling unless they're ticklish because they know better.
Experienced models are professionals. They know what makes a good video and if they can't deliver, it doesn't work out in the long run. I know y'all like to think the bulk of models are just really skilled liars and are only in it for the money, but that's generally not the case in either direction.

As for amateurs, that's different. I've only ever worked with one model who wasn't as ticklish as she claimed, or at least she was the kind of ticklish that basically just froze up and suffered.

Doesn't really work for a video, but in most cases I basically ask the model questions to suss out whether or not we'd work well together. You can usually tell with enough experience. Haven't been wrong yet.

Damn, only $100 per hour. thats dirt cheap. ive looked into escorts nowadays and its been $350 to $400 per hour. i think im looking in the wrong places. 🙁

I’m sure you’re joking here. I wrote 100+ meaning more than 100 an hour. Production shoot rates are less than session rates because the intent is to make sellable content, not for the producers gratification.

The producer has a store(s), equipment, laid out scene plan, a content library, references, a business name, etc. if they don’t have those things and more they are considered a GWC and generally charged session rates or even higher. As they should be.
