I bought MEST new album ''photographs'' at Borders book store on saturday night.

Pretty good album since i have never heard there music before. It was a blind buy. Not really any screaming like i like on the album at all. But overall it is still a ok cd.

*Include the name of the album

Either Jimmy Smith -"Standards" or the Red Garland trio -"A Garland of Red". Bought both at the same time actually.

Two days ago I bought "London Calling" by The Clash and the 2-CD greatest hits of Def Leppard called "Rock Of Ages." Great music!

How'd you like it, unit5610? I loved their first one. Tired of the one before this new one rather quickly, tho'. :ermm:

Yes, I do...although this particular album has little or none on it. It's young Leila Josefowicz and pianist John Novacek performing familiar American songs and dances by Stephen Foster, George Gershwin, Scott Joplin and others. She includes a lovely rendition of Smile, the piece Charlie Chaplin composed for the score of his film Modern Times.
At the same time I bought this, I also picked up Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait, performed by the Utah Symphony, with narration by Charlton Heston, and Ralph Vaughn Williams's Dona Nobis Pacem, by the London Philharmonic.

The last CD I bought was The Beatles "White Album" for my brother this christmas. Me personally I havent bought a CD in so long I cant even remember what is was. Pretty sad huh. I suppose Im part of the reason CD sales are down for like the 3rd year in a row. I download (legally) what I like or record from the radio or from friends.

There good.
Oh, yes.
I was fortunate I found them, as most of the ideas I came up with while in the music/movie store didn't pan out. I was returning a present, so it was essentially a free trip.
I've had a couple of well worn audio tapes of D.C.D. material that someone made for me afew years back, and decided it was time for an upgrade.
From the first track of this Into the Labyrinth, I was enchanted again. I think the first track, Yulunga, was used in the documentary "Baraka" during a particularly compelling sequence.

I bought Alexisonfire's 2004 album ''Watch Out!'' last month

🙂
I love that CD cover-art on that "Watch Out!". What sort of style would you categorize Alexisonfire as, musically?
