Agreed, but as long as people are all over pictures of Paris Hilton getting out of her car without panties on, I don't see why celebs should openly talk about their sex life.

It depends on the celebrity and the kind of career they have. Some careers would certainly be ruined or at least tarnished depending on the image they project in public and their involvement in the community.

Once something is no longer private, especially something sexual/sensual in nature and something the masses may not fully understand, then the media can and will spin it whichever way will sell more headlines. One thing the media would absolutely not do is leave them alone. They would put it out there, get a feel for how the public reacts to it and they may either drop it, or blow it way, waaaay out of proportion.

And of course if something is seemingly a secret, then there's something to lose. In a celebrity's case, that would be reputation. Out of however many people there are here, SOMEONE will try and either destroy what they don't have for whatever reason, or try and make a buck off of it.

The newspapers etc in the UK will say anything to sell a story. If something like this started as a bit of harmless fun they would soon find a way of twisting it and turning it into a national witch hunt.

Both the tabloid print media and the tabloid style TV and electronic media would hound them about it constantly. That's why they wouldn't be a member here openly.

It wouldn't mean the end of their career. Quentin Tarantino is quite open about his interest in women's feet and his career goes right along.

Political commentator Dick Morris' career didn't end when he was fired by Bill Clinton after it was revealed that he paid a prostitute to lick her soles and suck on her toes, even doing so while on the phone with the then President. (This was all before Clinton's own problems with sex on the job.) Morris writes columns and publishes books today, so revelation of a fetish didn't end his career.

But I believe that no celebrity wants the grief and hounding by the press that would come from such a public revelation.

Even if all we were talking about is what happens here, I can guarantee you that any "celebrity" that were to out themselves here would leave within a matter of hours. Unfortunately, there are too many uneducated, socially-retarded people in any large group of humans, be it online or in real life, and famous people know that. As a result, the rest of us are left to wonder.

As I have said in other threads about celebrities, the only reason I have any fascination with the "stars" of our time is because many of them are very intelligent people, and as much sex appeal as they may have, I just like knowing smart folks. 😀 Drew Barrymore is adorable and all, but I am more fascinated with her personality and such than I am with having the opportunity to tickle her.

Don't get me wrong, if she asked me to tickle her I wouldn't say no. 😀
