Seemingly content to star in shitty flicks for most of his career , Mr. McConaughey has actually stumbled into being in a few good ones along the way.

I think Tropic Thunder is a really funny movie.

I am a huge fan of Contact , as well.

Of all the films he's been in , though , I'd have to say that I enjoy Dazed & Confused the most.

Either How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days or The Wedding Planner. I like Kate Hudson better than Jennifer Lopez, so I guess I'll go with the former.

Tropic Thunder...but that really isn't his film per se.

I didn't like him at all until i saw We Are Marshall...

Easily Dazed and Confused. But I have to say I'm huge sucker for stupid romance movies like How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, and The Wedding Planner.

Cmon now. Have you all forgotten about "Two for the Money" with Matthew Mac and Al Pacino. One of my favs. Failure to launch was cool except the ending sucked donkey nuts. Dazed and Confused was a classic too.. I'd say all and all he's a pretty great actor. Thats just one man's opinion.

It's hard to come up with a movie that isn't a romantic comedy where he plays a grinning philanderer. He did dramas once upon a time and seemed pretty good at it.

Two for the Money, Dazed and Confused and We Are Marshall... I am in concurrence with Izzy; he actually did portray some acting talent in We Are Marshall which is still one of my most underrated good movies.

Still though... you can't beat His Doucheness when lines like this have come out of his gullet: "That's what I love about these High School girls man. I get older, they stay the same age. Yes they do. Yes they do."

I really don't think Matthew McConaughey is even worthy of a "Favorite movie" thread here on the TMF.

It's like having a "What's your favorite Paulie Shore" movie?

You wouldn't.
