What's your theme song?

Flirtin with disaster by Molly Hatchet

I'm travlin down the road and I'm flirtin with disaster

Got the pedal to the floor and my life is runnin faster

Out of money Out of hope It looks like self destructioni

hmmm theme song

depends on my mood: tick me off and it's "My Give a Damn is Busted"

normally it's either "Don't worry, Be Happy" or "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing"

Lyrics to second song as followed 😀 :

SHEDAISY - Don't Worry 'Bout A Thing Lyrics
Ever been misunderstood, misused, or misled
Ever knocked on the sky
and had it fall on your head
well, don't worry 'bout it, don't worry
Ever lost your luggage, your marbles,
your house
Or found yourself in bed with Uncle Sam or Mickey Mouse
Ever been accused of murder on Music Row
Or caught in morning traffic when you
really gotta go - Oh no!

[Chorus]
Life is funny, life's a mess
Sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing
Don't worry 'bout a thing, don't worry 'bout it
Life gets sticky, life can bruise
Sometimes you win sometimes your losing
No matter what it brings
Don't worry 'bout a thing

Ever sat yourself down when the
seat is all wet
Or see your "ex" sucking face with
a little brunette
Don't worry 'bout it, no don't worry
Ever lost your religion, ever lost your
best friend
Or found your last record in the bargain bin
Or been stuck in a divorce like crazy glue
Or scraped someone else's gum off the
bottom of your shoe - Boo hoo!

[Repeat Chorus]

(Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah - Blah, Blah,
Blah, Blah, Blah, - Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah,
Blah)

Don't worry, don't worry

[Bridge:]
We all got a little junk in the trunk
And when you're feelin' good as sunk
Remember, everything will be just fine
If I laugh at yours then you'll laugh at mine

[Repeat Chorus 2x]

(Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah - Blah, Blah,
Blah, Blah, Blah, - Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah,
Blah)

Don't worry, don't worry

Life gets sticky, life can bruise
Sometimes you win sometimes your losing
No matter what it brings
Don't worry 'bout a thing

(thank you very much)

and then there are my airheaded days where the smurf theme runs a continuous loop through my head :ermm:

Imperial March from Star Wars. Kind of reflects a few things about me, not all in a bad way. 😉

Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen. 😀

Hey, I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman, you made a bad boy out of me, Hey hey!

I've been singing with my band
Across the wire, across the land
I seen every blue eyed floozy on the way
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of smooth after a while
Take me to them dirty ladies everytime, come on

Had you asked me this question a couple of years ago, I would have said "Seventeen" by Janis Ian (following lyrics, specifically):

I learned the truth at seventeen
that love was meant for beauty queens
and high school girls with clear skinned smiles
who married young and then retired
the valentines I never knew
the Friday night charades of youth
were spent on one more beautiful
at seventeen I learned the truth

and those of us with ravaged faces
lacking in the social graces
desperately remained at home
inventing lovers on the phone
who called to say - come dance with me
and murmured vague obscenities
it isn’t all it seems at seventeen

But I have since come to terms with who and what I am, thanks partially to growing up and finding out not all men let society judge beauty for them, and also through being with a man who considers me to be the most gorgeous woman in the world, and through his own admiration and desire has taught me I AM sexy in my own right and whoever doesn't agree with that assesment can kindly go find a twig to gnaw. So "Fat Bottomed Girls" it is. 😀

There are so many

bits of different songs I really find fit, but this one
may be more appropriate than most.

She’s always a woman

She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child
But she’s always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she’ll never believe you
And she’ll take what you give her, as long as it’s free
She steals like a thief
But she’s always a woman to me

Chorus
Oh-she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She’s ahead of her time
Oh-and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

And she’ll promise you more
Than the garden of eden
Then she’ll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you’re bleedin’
But she’ll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
Cause she’s always a woman to me

Chorus

She is frequently kind
And she’s suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She’s nobody’s fool
But she can’t be convicted
She’s earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she’s always a woman to me

Oh.. Killer Queen by Queen also seems to fit on many, but not all, levels, too:

She keeps Moet et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
'Let them eat cake' she says
Just like Marie Antoinette
A built-in remedy
For Kruschev and Kennedy
At anytime an invitation
You can't decline

Caviar and cigarettes
Well versed in etiquette
Extraordinarily nice

She's a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime

...

Drop of a hat she's as willing as
Playful as a pussy cat
Then momentarily out of action
Temporarily out of gas
To absolutely drive you wild, wild
She's out to get you

Lee, you actually freaked me out with this one because I was thinking about it all day long for some reason and had it stuck in my head! I sat down here to say "scratch the others, this is the one I feel describes me right now best!" Scary...

Everything falls apart-Dogs eye view

Don't look now, things just got worst.
i'm drunk and i swear this crescent, is just a curse
i got here by killing off all my friends
i think i figured out my life begins when the fun ends
i got my wings, i'm free to go as i please
yeah, i got my wings, now nothing really pleases me 'till
(chorus)
everything falls apart
then i get to try to put it back together
yeah, it falls apart
you can count on that, count on that
now whether it can
was it good, i don't remember much about it
when things start to feel right
you can count on me to start to doubt it
and the devil's know, in the details
no the devil's in my pants, and it's
shoot first apologize later and
another quick end to a sure shot romance
i got what i wanted, now i don't want anything
yeah, i got what i wanted and now my life is just boring 'till
(chorus)
i met god this afternoon, riding on an uptown train
i said, "don't you have better things to do?"
he said, "if i do my job, what would you complain about?"
so i let it go to hell, now i have something to do
i said, "i let it go to hell," does that sound familiar to you?
(chorus)
well everything falls apart
sooner or later it's gonna come back together
well everything that comes together
sooner or later it's gonna fall apart
you can call it what ever you want
pull it all away from you
you're gonna wake up wake
and find a new you

I'd settle for nothing less than The Beatles!

"Chains" by The Beatles

(I changed one word in this song. See if you can tell which one)

Chains, my baby's got me locked up in chains.
And they ain't the kind that you can see.
Whoa, oh, these chains of love got a hold on me, yeah.
Chains, well I can't break away from these chains.
Can't run around, 'cause I'm not free.
Whoa, oh, these chains of love won't let me be, yeah.
I wanna tell you, pretty baby,
I think you're fine.
I'd like to love you,
But, darlin', I'm imprisoned by these...
Chains, my baby's got me locked up in chains,
And they ain't the kind that you can see,
Oh, oh, these chains of love got a hold on me.
Please believe me when I tell you,
Your feet are sweet.
I'd like to kiss them,
But I can't break away from all of these...
Chains, my baby's got me locked up in chains.
And they ain't the kind that you can see.
Whoa, oh, these chains of love got a hold on me, yeah.
Chains, chains of love…

Good question. If I were to be introduced by theme music, it would be Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill. Too much of that song (the whole thing, actually) is what I picture played at my funeral as kind of a life-synopsis...so just a snippet of the music would work.

However, to play along with the rest of the gang, I'd probably go with a line from Rush's New World Man...

...He's old enough to know what's right and young enough not to choose it. He's wise enough to win the world and fool enough to lose it...

Demon Hunter

''Beheaded''

In the never-ending circle where
The powerless meet
There grows a struggle from the burden
Of sustaining defeat
In the face of every coward lies the
Blindest of hate
And in the eyes a sharpened image of
The damage they made
You look at me to bear the burden of the suffering past
It wasn't me behind the veil
Of a heartless mask
And where were you the day that everybody
Cursed your name?
You were the distant voice of pride
That never stood the shame.

The weak of the mind will use fist
And the fist of the frail will bring gun
The loudest of guns provoke bombs
And in wrath he will chase until it's done.

[CHORUS:]
Your history is dead.
Dead wrong.
Dead - dead wrong.
Philosophy is dead.
Dead wrong.
Dead - dead wrong.

Within the mind of modern culture
There's an idle cog
It is the section of humanity that never forgot
And in the midst of moving forward we have given the right
To let the wolves attack the sheep and bury guilt inside
I won't forget the twisted picture of the filth that we were
Or disregard the fading voices of the people we hurt
But I was never pulling triggers or degrading your face.
Don't look at me to give the reason for the pain that you trace.

[CHORUS]

The scars outlive the pain.
Reflections will remain.
The scars outlive the pain.
Your sickness will remain.

Dead - dead wrong.

I've got three songs actually

1) "The Game" themetrack by Motorhead
2)"Prophets of Rage" by Public Enemy, I love the first two bars of it

With vice, I hold the mic device
with force, I keep it away of course

3)Line in the Sand by Motorhead

I want to change my theme song to The Dance by Garth Brooks . I'm not a fan of his but I LOVE this song .BTW make sure they play this when I leave this earth.

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

I told my friends that if i die early or when i die I want them to play 2 songs at my funeral

One being Simple Man by lynard skynard
and one being Dust in the wind by Kansas

This has been a favorite song of mine for a long time now.... years. I didn't think there was anyone else out there who appreciated it. There is definitely a beauty to that tune....

Maybe I've always been a big fan of "The Dead Man", but wrestling's the Undertaker has the most awesome entrance I've ever seen. I think I would want an entrance like his. It's a variation of Chopin's "Funeral March", and if you don't know what I'm talking about, watch Smackdown on a Thursday night, and you might get to see it. It's spectacular.

"Sold My Soul" by Jill Sobule

I feel like an outline
Where the middle part is missing
And the moonlight is kissing
The details away
I feel like a cliffnote
To a novel no one can read
And I feel like such a phony
Like I got 'em all deceived
And I feel like a punch line
Nobody gets
I bet that you're laughing
And shaking your head

I sold my soul
And nothing happened
Yeah nothing happened
When I sold my soul

I feel like an outline
To a picture you started to paint
Now the sunlight is fading
The colors away

How's it feel to have insides
Something to hold I wish I could touch you
How could I know

When I sold my soul
And Nothing Happened
Yeah Nothing Happened
When I sold my soul
Just a big black hole
And Nothing Happened
And I bet you're laughin'
'Cause I sold my soul

You Got Another Thing Comin' by Judas Priest (I'm not normally a metalhead but this song is so cool)

One life I'm gonna live it up
I'm takin' flight said I'll never get enough.
Stand tall I'm young and kinda proud
I'm on top as long as the music's loud.
If you think I'll sit around as the world goes by
You're thinkin' like a fool 'cause it's a case of do or die.
Out there is a fortune waitin' to be had
If you think I'll let it go you're mad
You've got another think comin'.

That's right here's where the talkin' ends
Well listen this night there'll be some action spent.
Drive hard I'm callin' all the shots
I got an ace card comin' down on the rocks.

If you think I'll sit around while you chip away my brain
Listen I ain't foolin' and you'd better think again.
Out there is a fortune waitin' to be had
If you think I'll let it go you're mad
You've got another think comin'.
In this world we're livin' in we have our share of sorrow
Answer now is don't give in aim for a new tomorrow.

Oh so hot no time to take a rest yeah
Act tough ain't room for second best.
Real strong got me some security
Hey I'm a big smash I'm goin' for infinity yeah.

Theme song

My theme song would have to be the song "burn in my light" by Mercy Drive.

lyrics:

Hey! Hey! Hey!
Nothing you can say,
Nothing's gonna change what you’ve done to me.
Now its time to shine
I’m gonna take what’s mine (take what's mine)

Take what's mine
Hey! Nothing you can say,
Nothing's gonna change what you’ve done to me
Now its time to shine
I’m gonna take what’s mine
You're gonna burn in my light

Kitten,

I love that song, too. Perhaps we should
compare lists!

Lee

Just a guess but for some reason I'm thinking our list of musical favs are pretty close.

btw, I miss you babe.

Back in college we had a fake wrestling league. My theme was "Don't Bring Me Down" by ELO.

Later it was "Angry Young Man" by Billy Joel.

Lately I have no idea what song I would pick! Interesting to think about though!
