Im curious to know at what age do you think life hits that point where is starts declining. for me, i think the perfect age is 35. but when you hit 40, life starts spiraling downhill from there. especially health wise.

Currently at age 37 and life hasn't ever been better.

True though that the body doesn't last like it used to 😀

i have never felt better in my life..i walk for four miles daily...i use my adult hula hoop for an hour every day..except for my damn wisdom tooth :ranty: i've never ever felt better....it's all in your attitude maniac man..except for a few things that i inherited, like the damn choloesterol, it hasn't effected me and i'll not let it...i feel twenty...i look 35 and that's not me talking..it's people who have met me from the forum...you act like growing older is a sin..or that you are falling apart..you are hilarious....

p.s. case in point..i just had to run down half a block to chase some guy who left eight phone books at our house..and i'm not breathing heavily at all..and i had three heavy phone books with me...ah...exercise Maniac man..that's the key..

i get mistaken for david's daughter all the time now..growing my hair out sure did wonders..

Izzy is correct, Maniac. The trick is to keep a positive attitude and exercise occasionally. My forties were a great time, much better than my thirties. Today I turn fifty, been told I still look like I'm 35, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Hopefully what happens next is a huge aromatic release of gas. :happyfloa but back to the topic. i have always exercised in my life, but lately, everything i do results in a sore back or knees, or shoulder etc. im always feeling little aches and pains now every morning i wake up. when the hell is that damn youth serum going to be invented! :ranty:

Let me put it this way. The releases are more powerful and aromatic.(Sometimes dangerous) Getting older is not for sissies and the only thing you can do is tough it out. If anyone give you problems, just gas them.

Hmm I don't really agree with that, that when you hit 40 with health it starts going downhill. I'm not 40 yet for a few years, but, I have a friend thats 26 this year and she has just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and being operated on this week. A work colleague's daughter who's only 21 has cervical cancer.

I can see why you say it, but, its upto you to do something with your life, whilst your still young enough and healthy to enjoy it as you don't know whats around the corner.

I'm 58 years old;

My peak was at age 16 and it's been downhill ever since.
Of course, the fact that I've been shot, stabbed, strangled, bludgeoned, run over, poisoned, burnt and blown up may have something to do with that. :scared:
I think some people find my sense of humor objectionable. 😡

These days, I have the body of a 25 year old athlete in peak training. :evilha:
Unfortunately, he keeps asking me to give it back. 🙁

Y'know, I always find it silly that older people complain about their age and health issues and whatnot. When you hit those milestones, 40, 50, 60, I think you should be glad that you reached them. Some people will never reach those milestones because their lives were cut short.

I had a classmate, only 16 years old and had the most wonderful personality. So happy, so friendly, he knew what he wanted and how he was going to get it. Then he was killed when his four-wheeler flipped over.

I'm only 20 and feel blessed that I've reached that milestone (though small and insignificant compared to Kered's 50th milestone). God willing, I'll feel blessed at 40, at 60, until my last breath.

I think the peak is at about age 27 or 28, and it's all downhill from there. But the deterioration in physical ability doesn't become obvious until about ten years later.

good grief Mils...where ever did you get that idea????? my thirties were far better physically than my twenties..and as i said before, i can do basically everything now that i did when much younger..o and except for the bout i had a year back, when i had to fight an illness...and would go up and down with energy and the like...

o and jumping the shark...i never heard that expression before..i thought for a minute it was something sexual...

A study by Bill James of baseball statistics showed that hitting ability peaks, for a typical player, at age 27. That's just an average, not true of every player. 😀

Well we cant all be perfect specimens like you. :bowing:

If you're talking physical health and fitness, most humans peak around 18-22. The decline after that is gradual for the first several decades, then rapid around the sixties and beyond.

But there's so much more to the human experience than the condition of your body, that I think the wisdom and perspective that you gain with age must be worth something, don't you? 🙂
