Believe it or not...your favorite 3D bondage artist loves classical music.

I guess it was the booming soundtracks of John Williams that turned me on to it. The score that is played when the Imperial Cruiser pulls in the Rebel Blockade Runner has that throwback feel...that part can be found in any old b/w film from the 50s.

I recently downloaded the complete Beethoven performed by the London Symphony Orchestra from iTunes, which features the 7th Symphony that was featured in that Zardoz trailer...now I know why he's so popular.

I also love Wagner, Bach, and The Planets by Holst.

I know there are some that love classics.

I'm a huge classical fan. Its one of my main musical influences. One of the things I always look for in a movie is the soundtrack. Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and the late Jerry Goldsmith are probably my favorites. Michael Giachinno is someone who I honestly believe that given time might become the next John Williams.

Other than that my favorite composers would be Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Rachmoninov, Brahms, Chopin, Henry Purcell, Vivaldi, and Tchaikovsky. There are also many others that who's works I love.

I like classical music quite a bit. I used to listen to a lot of music from the Renaissance, though that's given way more recently to Beethoven, Respighi and Bach. Vivaldi, Mozart and Chopin are also favorites, but I find that I have to be in the mood to listen.

And I agree that Michael Giachinno is well on his way towards being John Williams-esque. He did amazing work with Pixar and already has an Oscar. I was particularly impressed with Star Trek, especially the opening credits after the destruction of the Kelvin and the closing credits.

I'm a fan. I took a course on it for an easy A, but developed a sincere taste for it. I prefer things back in the baroque style, generally. Vivaldi and Bach are my faves.

chopin and mozart...:faint:

my mom's a pro violinist and my dad used to be a violist. i've been exposed to it all my life.

I'm personally more of a Romantic-classical era fan then Baroque fan. And yes I do love a big of the medieval and Renaissance era music. If there was one type of singing I'd love to learn it would definitely be Gregorian chant.

I'm a music teacher, so clearly I'm a fan. I'd say Mahler and Debussy are my favorite composers right now.

I'm not real big on Classical; I really like Beethoven. Some musical historians, however, would put Beethoven in the Romantic Period, which is also where you find other's that I love such as Chopin, Wagner, Lizst, Paganinni, Orf, Rachmaninoff, etc. Bach, actually falls into the Baroque Period, and like many other composers from that period, does nothing for me. Handel being an exception. As for actual classical period stuff though, I like some, but not all Mozart. Not a big Hayden fan. You guys can tell me to shut up at any time...

Beethoven was the about the earliest Romantic composer out there. Bass players had trouble keeping up with his compositions because of all the new stuff he was writing.

My favourite piece is Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. 🙂

I grew up with it. Especially when my late grandmother was staying over. She had a tremendous operatic voice, professional quality (if not for various life problems, she'd have had a career), and my sister and I were exposed to it through her love for it. During the day, she'd have WQXR on- the classical station of the New York Times- while she did what she called her 'exercises', which, we figured out later on were her own take on yoga. Sibelius would be blasting throughout the house, it was something else.

I myself prefer Tchaikowsky...but I also love the emotion of Shastakovich, and the spirit of Beethoven. It just comes out like a waterfall. Suppe's music is morning wake up music, it's great.

WQXR, probably America's most prominent classical station, went to being a publicly funded station last year. It should do very well in New York, where its listenership has a combined income that could equal or surpass that of the European Union.

I cannot relate! None of these old-time dudes even played electric guitar 😀

Classical music is good 😀 It's something I just happen to like along with heavy metal, rock, disco, bass... Music.

I guarantee if the electric guitar was around, they would have used it extensively.

Me too like it....trouble is that I can never remember any of the names...

Count me in. I number Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Mozart and Bach among my favorites. 😀

Bach, Chopin, Debussy, and Satie are among my favorites.

Clair de lune, by Claude Debussy. Love his music. 😀

My mom used to play that on the piano when I was a kid. It's probably part of why I enjoyed Ocean's 11 so much. 🙂
