If that's too radical, maybe you should consider visiting friends or a taking a road trip for a few days. Go somewhere she can't find you.

I was diagnosed Schizoeffective (half-schizophrenia, half bi-polar) in November. I tried to kill myself by cutting my throat with scissors. The whole time I was in the mental hospital and regular hospital she never called, stopped by, and wouldn't answer her phone. When I got out 9 days later, she acted like everything was OK. I kicked her to the curb. Now she is waltzing back into my life like a storm. I can't take this shit. I was just hoping beyond hope that someone could help by getting her mind off of me. I don't want to walk that path again.

That sounds serious, Aachen1983. No offense, but I hope you're receiving professional guidance for your problem. If not, get some fast, there's lots of smart professionals out there that can help you lots and lots.

And don't let this one girl be such a big hindrance in your life, just make up your mind to either dump her or take her back. Period. Done.

Aachean hon, ignore her please. if you have to, get a restraining order against her. she never pulled for you when you were in the hospital , i remember the whole story. i might sound harsh here, but kick her to the curb as others said. you have to think about yourself, not someone who could easily turn out to be a stalker.

I'm so sorry to hear you had to experience these things at a time of year when everything is supposed to be cheerful, and for it to be a joyous occasion.

Steph ... do you know any more about this? The reason I ask, if it's okay too, is because I've had a hernia since April '05, but because I'm going through the VA, I can't even get an "evaluation by a surgeon" until June 26 this year. I am told these days it's supposed to be a fairly simple procedure, so obviously I'm concerned by what you say about the complications.

It's generally very routine procedure. What they tell me happened was that she suffered an aneurysm. You should be fine. Most likely she had some pre-existing condition no one knew about.

Yes, Izzy ... I know I'm not supposed to lift anything heavy, but in my position here at the house helping out dear 'ol mum, sometimes it can't be helped ... but I'm very careful about it.

As for the evaluation ... when you are dealing with the VA, a government entity, and it's not service connected, I have to go along with their (snails) pace ... unless of course the tripas get twisted up and it becomes an emergency situation. Atm, it's not painful ... just an annoyance!

Ahhh ... okay, yes probably there was a pre-existing, unknown problem. My aunt died during heart surgery years back because the anesthesia used had a Salmon dirivitive (<-sp?) in it that she was allergic too ... no one thought to ask or enquire I guess ... she was a wonderful lady.

Is pimping her out to the highest bidder the way to go? What the hell should I do? All advice is welcome.

1) 'Pimping her out' is no realistic option; don't even go there.

2) Venray has a point, giving out someone's private/personal info can cause serious "Blow Back".

3) Did you ever hear of a guy named Pontius Pilate; he washed his hands & was done w/ the whole thing

4) Just because someone's knockin on the door/ ringin the phone, doesn't mean you have to answer it.

ALL serious Options are divided into 3 courses of action:
a) Work on the situation to make it tolorable / better / perfect.
b) Continue w/ things as they are & don't change a thing & hope it Improves.
c) Drop the situation like a bad habit, turn on your heel, walk off & say "Screw it"

We've ALL been down to the sea & have cast off on what we beleived was gonna be a Pleasure Cruise...it ended up as a one-way bobsled-ride-to-HELL.
It's going to happen every once in a while; I've gone down w/ more ships than Capt. AHAB...if you live, you grow stronger & wiser.

We get Good Judgement from Experience & we get Experience from Bad Judgement.

um yes i know first hand that they are scary places. imagine having your mom in a pshychiatric hospital in icu? and knowing she fit right in? i was always afraid to visit her there, but there are times you simply have to put those fears aside. she should have visited at least once if she cared for him.

No, she tried to act like she didn't even know. I left countless messages but she claimed she never got them. She pulled disappearing acts in the past. She is an emotional trainwreck but I didn't realize it until I went on meds.
