Self esteem issues will keep some women with bastards. If the woman thinks she can't do any better, she'd rather stay with the guy than be alone, unsure if she'll meet someone else. It's the same for guys... I once had a girlfriend who made life a living hell for me. I never knew anyone so jealous and possessive. I stuck around because I thought, "Being with her is better than being alone." Breaking up with her was the second happiest day of my life... the final day of my Navy enlistment was the first.

My perspective is that valentines day is gone for this year, but I can still wish that ticklkitten had the happiest day filled with romance as she deserves..

I had an unusual valentines day. The "ex" took me to dinner and there was no bloodshed! I was shocked to find that I actually enjoyed the time we spent. It was almost the way we were when we started out. Give it time, in a couple of weeks, he'll remind me why I left him in the first place!! I better enjoy it while it's good.....
