Personally I love George, he did a great motown song tonight, right up his alley....

he gets my vote!

Idol...

Tough to vote against Fantasia...

Felt bad for the red headed kid tonight. He was so out of his "comfort zone". George , on the other hand, was better than I've ever seen him before, admittedly.

not crazy about the redheaded kid even though he is from our area...I think he is the next one off..

I think the competition is going to come down to Fantasia, George, and LaToya as the top three. They are simply phenomenal. As for the one who I feel is going to win the whole contest this season: Fantasia. Don't get me wrong, I adore George. He's sweet, humble, and damn talented. But I think Fantasia's uniqueness is going to be the deciding factor.

As for who goes home next, I'm hoping to see Camille go home tonight. I have not liked her from the start, she puts on poor performances each week, and she is not even close to being in the same caliber as some of the others. She should have gone home last week instead of Matt. ARGH that ticked me off. I really liked him!

John Peter Lewis and John Stevens are two other it won't break my heart to see go. We'll see what happens tonight!

Mimi

although i agree John Stevens was not very good last night i think Camille was alittle worse...i am hoping that J.S has at least one more week in him(it's a slim hope)...to me almost all of them sounded flat...except George,Amy,La Toya,Fantasia and Jasmine

I will agree with these 2 as well as Camille going, the others are all fairly talented...

I agree with your asessment of the final 3....Amy is a 50/50 shot to remain until close to the end..

I am hoping Jennifer goes a long way because she from the hometown, and if she picks out the right songs, she can really show her talent. The problem with her is finding the right osngs for her. I do hope Camille is next, because you're right JPie, she has been terrible. I do agree that Matt should not have been kicked off this early😀

Yuk..

I think America is a bit tone deaf...

Wtf was up with the voting this week? LaToya and Jennifer in the bottom 3?

I think John Stevens KNEW he should have been there, and he looked embarassed the whole show, as well he should have. I like the kids voice, but he's a one trick pony and that isn't good enough for this competition.

Amy didn't deserve the boot, she's had 2 decent weeks in a row and has been showing improvement...damn shame when America gets it wrong like that and turns it into a popularity contest/joke.

I'm glad to see that someone notices that Jennifer has great talent. She just has more voice than American Idol is used to. The judges nit-pick at her constantly and change their opinions of her every week. If she did some Patti Labelle or Jennifer Holiday, she'd be on the money. Even some Whitney (pre-drugs) because she has the range. I don't think she'll win, but she sure gets my vote.

Why is Camille still there? I'm mad because Matt got voted off last week and Jennifer nearly got voted off the week before because of her. She's not good for the competition and should go home. The red-haired kid had no business ever in the competiton, and the same for the so-called Elvis impersonator.

I know a lot of people like Fantasia, but she's too much like Macy Gray for my liking. Her voice is too sharp to my ears and it's hard for me to listen to. George on the other hand is great, but after the Clay-Ruben controversy, I doubt seriously if he'd win. But if someone doesn't snatch him up and give him a contract, every record company would be crazy!

There is my American Idol review for the week. See 'ya next time!😀

It does seem that America is tone deaf, and its just a popularity contest. Maybe Jennifer does need to sing Patti Labelle songs😀

I was upset that Amy got booted. She had a great personality and a great voice. The bottom three should have been Camille, Jon Peters and Jon Peter Lewis. None of them can sing.

Latoya, Diana, or Fantasia gets my vote for the win. I like George too.

There already is a winner. William Hung. No matter who officially wins this time, they are never going to match his popularity.

Correct indeed...

I think The Sean Man has called it...lol. It's a funny world when being inept enough works out.

I will totally agree with your top comments, Amy should not have got booted..I loved her, she is great, Camille, Jon Peters and Jon Peter Lewis have no business being there. I was totally surprised at Jennifer and especially Latoya getting in the bottom 3, so were the judges surprised..

My top 3 are George, Latoya and Jasmine. I am not crazy about Fantasia's style but she does have a damn good voice.

To all Americans...............

.......please accept my deepest apologies for having infected your great and wonderfull country with our dreadfull trash T.V. shows. Long gone are the days when we were able to look down our noses at U.S. T.V. programmes. At one time our TV was the best in the world, informative, impartial, innovative, progressive, high quality. At one time it had the influence to be able to make all Brits better informed, better educated, more willing to listen to someone who has something worth saying.

But now, what has happened? our TV is now the same corrosive, contageous, poisonous influence that Macdonalds and Burger king is in the UK. Many of your new rubbish TV shows are Brit inventions, and I am very sorry about that.

I will do what I can to stop it.

Sad as it is to say, but I believe you're right. How did he ever get this popular? He was the worst candidate I ever saw and heard. I had to turn my tv during the tryout.🙄

I think it's because of this.....

Sure, everybody loves to make fun of someone who is out of their league during a performance. But sometimes one of these people truly doesn't care, and gives it their all....and once in a great while, people see that and will give it up for that person simply because they had the guts to do it at all.

I do announcing for our local hockey team, and each game starts, of course, with the national anthem sung by various volunteers. On one particular night, it was a small boy, perhaps 10 or 11. His performance was truly awful, I kid you not. He changed keys at least seven times, couldnt' hit the high notes, and forgot the majority of the words. But.....he KEPT GOING! When he finished, he got a standing ovation and wild applause. Sometimes guts DO count for something in this country.

As for William Hung? YOU GO, BOY!

The Sean Man

Argh, what the hell is wrong with the voting public this season?

Last season America got it right damn near every week. Every single week, the worst performance got voted off. It was pretty much predictable, but HONEST and fair. This season, it's ALL messed up. Camille is STILL there, and she should have been voted off two weeks ago already! The girl can not sing, and she looks like she is in pain every time she opens her mouth. She is another one trick pony, and can not pull off anything aside from her standard, monotone, smoking for 200 years frog in the throat singing. Blech.

John Peter Lewis and John Stevens are two others you gotta ask why they are still there. Are we the only people in America who are not tone deaf? We seriously can not be the only ones with our ears open wide enough to hear this guy can not sing hardly a note. And don't tell me it's his looks or personality keeping him in either, cause he's not much to look at, and Simon was right on when he said he had the personality of a pen salesman. Lets not even get into that string puppet herky jerky dance of his.

John Stevens...yeah, he's got a good voice, and perhaps he does have a future in singing.....but NOT in pop music, and NOT as the American Idol. As Q said, he has one style, and one style only. The American Idol should be capable of a wide range of diversity. John Stevens should be a lounge singer in Vegas.

This last weeks bottom 3 was a joke. Not ONE of them belonged in the bottom 3. America got it wrong last week when they voted off Matt, and they definitely got it wrong this week when they voted off Amy. I was honestly so mad I screamed when they said her name. She is bright, funny, witty, energetic, cute as hell, and has a wonderful voice.

I am quickly losing faith in this contest. All I can say is the voting public darn well better pull it's head (and ears) out of it's rear end soon, before this competition becomes a total and complete joke, and gets taken off the air. :sowrong: :sowrong: :sowrong:

I couldn't have said it better myself! So I must ask myself the question, WHY DIDN'T I?????????😀

mimi, I'm with you on every thing you stated. I loved Amy, she was fun, vivacious and good....Camile, John Stevens, and John Peter Lewis should have been off as well as Leah the 1st one they booted off. I don't think Amy and Matt would make it all the way to the end but they are way better then the ones mentioned.

Aside from ballot-box stuffing which cannot be prevented....many voters also vote not on the performance, but whether or not they like the person themself. People can get very catty.

The Sean Man

I am definiely with Mimi on her choices. Amy should not have been voted off. I was mad when I heard she was voted off. She nailed the Dixie Chicks song "Sin Wagon." I really hope she looks into going into country music because that is definitely her niche. John Stevens, he is great for the crooning but he ain't no Idol. John Peter Lewis, come on! Dancing around or standing still he still can't hold an in-tune note. LOL Camile does have the raspy voice going for her, but she is so uptight on stage and she has not found the niche that can totally fit her. She can do some blues & R&B but she has got to loosen up. I think Camile and John Stevens will be having a rough time this week. John Peter Lewis will possibly get by because of all the teeny boppers who like his look. Which, in my opinion (but it's just my opinion), is not very good. Ya know, he has more than once reminded me of a young Mark Hamill. Hmm... I gotta quit watching Star Wars so much. 😀

Hugs and tickles,
Prinny

To be perfectly honest, I had never watched American Idol until tonight (because nothing else was on, and I was too lazy to find the remote and change the chanel). ANYWAYS......As a person who is a singer and has taken voice lessons, I have to say that the fact that these people are finalists makes me wonder about the integrity of the show. (Please no American Idol fans become offended at what I am about to say).
1) Tonight was "Elton John Night". How do they expect a bunch of amateurs like these kids to be able to sing songs by a master of the business? Bad choice on the producer's part. The only two I was impressed with was George and Jennifer (I think those are their names). One kid sang Crocodile Rock, and it was AWFUL!!!!! This kid had no energy on the stage.
2) Also, these kids have made it to the final nine contestants, and I must say that the rest of the people who tried out for this show must have royally sucked! A lot of them were flat, and they couldn't handle the range of notes the songs required. That's just ridiculous.

I apologize if any die hard American Idol fans were offended in the making of this post.
