Why are people becoming so anal on here?

Seriously, anymore people just spew nothing but hatred. Every thread I look at someone has something spiteful to say. people jumpn' on others for asking questions and shit. And you asshats know who you are. Anyone else noticing this?

Well, I don't think that's true for most people. Even biggest jerks on this forum tend to have some content mixed in with their hatred.

I know what you mean (in the specific case too, and I do agree that was an overreaction), but people feel strongly about their opinions, and when other people don't respect them, they get angry. It's normal, and understandable.

I actually don't think this is true. I believe that most "asshats" have no idea they're being asshats. 😉 They just go about their normal online lives and don't understand why they draw so much hostility.

wellllllll personally i don't believe in holding grudges..seems a major waste of time considering..life is too short to worry about who or whom is fighting each other on this forum.. i see the fighting, i move on. i tried being a peace maker in another forum, and it didn't work.. i'm no pollyanna and don't wish to be.. it does seem to me however that a forum dedicated to tickling (which causes laugher) shouldn't have such negative people on board.. but that's just me.. also i cannot understand coming on and lying.. also something else i don't understand and no one has answered.... why do some come on pretending to be the other sex?

You're on a tear here Aachen1983. I've only noticed anal retentiveness on the P&R thread, where it's 'enter at your own risk', so no complaints accepted.

Everything else here seems cool, but maybe I'm missing something.

I regurlarly visit six other discussion boards daily, and let me say that TMF posters put those other board's posters to shame with their class.

Try some other boards to experience this for yourself.

Well said, Steph. There seems to be a new breed of morons that have invaded this forum as of late. I find myself spending less time here because of it. And if you have noticed, quite a few members who have been here a few years don`t seem to be posting anymore. I`m not sure there is an easy solution to the problem. 😕

That or people who totally ignore the "no images/stories/toons involving anyone under 18" and requesting images of girls between the ages of six years old and 17. I'm sorry if anyone's offended by my being angry over the request for underage crap, but I don't care if Lilo or Misty are fictional, they're still underaged and asked for toons of them in a situation that leads to arousal for most of us is VERY creepy! And I will continue to get angry with such people until they stop or go away or get arrested.

I do concur that things seem much more intense, and, at times, less civil, than 3 plus years ago, when I first joined. All I can say is that people post whatever they do, and the mods have the discretion to remove it. However, I have a bit of advice that I'm sure we all know, but has worked for me. The good old ignore button.
If someone is either attacking me, or making negative, or combative, posts in general, I simply edit my ignore list, and dont look at their posts. A wise forum member advised me to do this a couple of years ago, when a couple of idiots were attacking every thread and post I made. Trust me, guys, and girls, it does work, at least it does for me. While I can see the temptation to want to look at, and respond to the negativity, to me, those who post such things just arent worth the time. I dont know if the good folks who posted in this thread agree with me, but it has been a sound piece of advice that has worked for me over the last couple of years.

My only explanation is people have egos, and either require them to be polished\aknowledged on here, people have nothing better to do other than be a jagbag, personal issues with either people here or just in general, the lack of patience to deal with stupid people.

I noticed that too.
It relates with personality, frustations, need of attention and sensibility to specific comments or point of view.
Of course to have an argument at least two people are required. If people quit to reply and feed anal comments, they (the comments or the trolls) will eventually vanish or change attitude

IIf one actually enjoys flaming for sport, trying to amuse oneself by making others look foolish, c'mon now! That's some pretty passive-aggressive stuff, mocking a stranger hundreds of miles away, or retorting to an attack by a complete stranger hundreds of miles away at a keyboard to protect one's wounded pride. It reminds me of something I heard once:
