Well Michael is NOT viewed as a truly evil guy.
No he isn't; he's viewed as something of a curiosity by the majority of people, and as such those people are wont to treat his death flippantly. Hence the wisecracks.
Have some tact. Have some class. Is it really that hard? I have seen this type of behavior over the years. Why do people have to "rain on the parade" of others? Why?
My question is why some people feel the need to wail and gnash when some bloke they didn't know dies. Every death is a sad event, but come on; he was some pop star from the eighties whose personal life was dogged by allegations, who managed to end up bankrupt despite being possessed of a vast fortune and owning the rights to The Beatles' songs, who hasn't released anything in years and who you and I didn't know personally. Why is it such a big deal to you?
