Peer pressure to start posting? Never heard of that. Does that happen?

Peer pressure to start posting? Never heard of that. Does that happen?![]()
.. That's more what I meant by "peer pressure". Sorry if that was confusing..Why do I post? Well here is a straight answer. I lurked here a very long time. I looked beyond the facination for tickling and realized there were some seriously wonderful people here. So, part of the reason was to make some new friends, which I have. It was also an escape from my everyday life to laugh and joke and to talk tickling as well. I have never been popular in my life. Even as an actor, after the plat was done I was not even noticed outside my theater family. Those who get to know me will like me but I do not feel the need for any popularity. I act like an attention ***** around here with some of my posts but I really am just joking around. I simply love all I have met here. I am so glad I delurked.![]()
You've been a great addition to this place!I'm glad you did too, TomYou've been a great addition to this place!

Well, I don't think for me it was peer pressure from others. Just more of me putting pressure on myself to reach out there and make friends. I'd see people chatting with each other, making friends and I'd think, "Gee, I want that." So after reading the numerous posts of how different the forum is whenever you become an active member, I took the plunge. So glad I did. Meeting wonderful people (such as yourself) along the way!![]()
I posted previously because I didn't know how to fit in so it was a shy attempt to make contacts. Now that I have a few friends at least I post to my true nature which is to be a buffoon. Only peer pressure I have ever felt is to go the chatroom 😀

Rawr! 😉I'm out of trouble? You're out of trouble! YOU'RE out of trouble! The whole TRIAL is out of trouble! You've been drinking again, haven't you?! 😱
Oh, and I post exactly for reasons such as this one. To make sure my twinny stays out of trouble! 😀

Don't encourage her! 😱LOL Amanda, Sounds like he needs it 😛 ... Weyou cars, we really do 😛
When I joined the forum, I wasn't really sure why I did nor did I know what was going to happen. For years I lurked the forum without a word. I read threads and soaked up info and slowly started to post more. Still being relatively unknown to most and I got a bunch of pms that only kept me that way. The fact that I found this place was a little bit like waking up inside a dream. After all here I was in this place with a bunch of other people who had the same feelings I did. A well kept secret I had hid for most of my life. Something I couldn't tell anyone.
Something that I knew I loved but at the same time had all these conflicting feelings about. For one, I was still trying to figure out my own feelings in regards to having an interest in tickling, and how that could possibly co-exist with my faith.
A friend of mine encouraged me to start posting more. I really don't see it as peer pressure. Someone reached out to me, we developed a very amazing connection practically instantaneously and from there it just flew outward. My friend's encouragement gave me the strength I needed to push past the bad pms that every girl has gotten here at some time in their stay and because of him I was able to really take part in what I know to be a pretty awesome community.
Ever since I truly de-lurked I have done things and gone places that never in my life would I ever of thought I would do or see. So to answer your question, I post because I want to connect. I could give a rat's ass how high my post count is, though I am more than glad to congratulate people when they do reach new levels. I post to interact, to let myself be seen. To contribute and create meaningful connections with those I have come to love and be friends with and to hopefully make more.
