It's been interesting to read the responses.
Personally, I've never hidden my kink. There was a time when I was less comfy talking about it for lack of experience talking about it - BUT...I've always acted on it openly with partners. In the years since I've met friends online and offline who were bent in a similar fashion, I've come to the conclusion that it's not a big deal to me whether or not I "hide it."
It's not what I'd call dinner conversation with the parents, but even my mother will tell people to watch how when it comes to shoes, feet or tickling because "Jo's a mad woman sometimes." **Shrug** Guess the people who know you sometimes know you better than you think. 😛
Anyway, I can confortably talk openly about the sexually charged aspect when the girlfriends and I are talking about such....and I focus on the innocense of it with my kid when that's the case. It's all relative to the moment.
All in all, I can say the best part of not "hiding it" is that it's easy for me to enjoy it without worry. THAT is a good thing.
