On the actual topic, silly thread is silly. If you're coming to the TMF looking for love or for a partner or for a shag or whatever then you're missing the point. It's an online community for tickling fetishists to meet and exchange material and stuff. It's not FindAMate.com. The reason women have the "advantage" here is because they seem to realise that for the most part, whereas most blokes are pathetic clowns whose only interest in other people is sexual.

I can see how one can get that perception [that women are automatically more sympathetic to their TMF audience] since there are noticeably fewer disincentives towards outwardly railing against men. Consequently, it probably happens publicly much more often. That doesn't say anything about how bad "all guys" are or about women hating all men, or that all women are saintly princesses by default (sorry, ladies...lol), just that it's more socially acceptable to voice strongly negative opinions about men.

Yes. You see those dynamics around here quite often. A man starts a thread about hitting on an underage girl on a train, and TMFers, mostly male, show up by the dozen to rail against him. A woman starts a thread about cheating on her boyfriend, and she mostly gets support, of the "I hope you learned your lesson and find happiness" variety. If a man decides to criticize her behavior, a bunch of other people, mostly men, immediately jump to her defense, and rail against the man who decided to speak his mind.

Sheesh. Once you start thinking about it, maybe women really do dominate around here. 😛

This is so true it's funny. I posted my pic in the pic section expecting maybe a response or two and three days later I am looking at an empty inbox. Sad really. I'm sure JennSendler probably has to sort through upwards of 50 messages.

Now... you gotta realize, that women don't respond usually to physical appearance in the same way that men do. Women don't look at a guy's picture and think, "Wow, he's hot, I wonder if I can get him to do me?" 😀 There's nothing wrong with posting a pic, but don't expect the women to come flocking just because of that.

ALL of the women here, even though in the minority, ARE NOT given an immense amount of attention unless we ask for it. Just because we are here doesn't mean that we are propositioned daily. If I want to fill up my PM box....I know EXACTLY what to say and what to "show" in order to get it. If I want a reputation on the forum.....I know to argue and be inflammatory.....then I will get lots of recognition.

I'd modify that a bit. I think both men and women get recognition, and equally so, for arguing and being inflammatory. In fact, if recognition for your ideas is what you want, I think men and women are equally able to achieve that on this forum. On the other hand, if you want sexual attention, I think posting frequent, noncontroversial posts, preferably with a hot screen name and signature picture, is the way to go. Men don't seem to like the girls who are here to debate.* 😉

* And of course, I'm not referring to all men here, just the shallow ones who prefer their women "cute." It's useful for all of us, men and women, to realize what kinds of behavior produce different sorts of responses from the rest of the TMF population. 🙂

I don't feel I am a penny man, nor am I getting "fuck all". Despite my hard headedness at times I feel most of my relationships here at the TMF are pretty good. Mind you I am not getting any sex, but I don't come here for that, I come here to escape the negative stuff in my life. When I have a bad day at work or a fight with my folks the ladies here at the Forum provide me with both friendly support as well as "Someone to fantasies about" if that isn't to sexist to say. Thats not to say that all is perfect, or that I haven't found myself in the middle of a cat fight. When I do I simply say "You're my friend she's my friend... don't put me in the middle of this." I feel that sort of thing is respected. Even if people don't like my point of few, at least they know I am honest when I post a point of view.

Anybody who feels they have been fucked over or gotten "fuck all" from the women here on the tmf, I want to know what the fuck you were expecting. I mean did you think you'd show up, post some comments, and then get laid over night. If I walked into every situation with a woman thinking I was going to get laid I wouldn't have enjoyed alot of otherwise enjoyable evenings. I was always conserned with the woman having an enjoyable evening, feeling comfortable, and not getting anything on my shirt when we ate dinner, and getting her home safe. When anything more then that happened I considered it a gift because that how it's suposed to be seen.

Instead of putting down the women here....maybe try looking at our presence as something positive. It is true that this is a male dominated fetish. The women here are trying to integrate and express their desires, just like the men. We are the rare ones that share in the most intimate secret with the men here. There are some of us here that are serious posters and not putting our breasts, feet ,asses etc. out there just to attract attention. I don't have a PM box full of messages...I am a woman. I am looking to have common ground with the men and women here. If I can meet up with some of you....terrific. It's not that their aren't men who can't, but it happens far more often for women. If you don't think that women have an advantage in some ways her in an erotic web site you are not thinking clearly, you are letting your femanist views dictate over common sence. I agree that the attention is based on what we put out, if you were putting out a flirty/friendly message then you get a PM box full of messages, if you are putting out a conservitve or stand-offish way you may not. Look at the women who get most of the attention on the forum, they are playful, friendly, maybe even a bit of a teas (I love a good teas by the way), this attract that male, and then when they are "bombarded" by male attentio they can pick who's attention they want to return. When their are so few women, and so many men who want their attention then the women are the ones who have the power. It doesn't happen often but in this case the minority rules.

Thats true as well, but the fact that women can, and will, take advantage of it shows where the power is. Mind you I never want to live in a world where I don't view women in a sexual way, just because I see them in that way doesn't mean I can't respect them as people. Our fathers must have seen our mothers in a sexual way or else we wouldn't have been born, I can't speak for anybody here, but I know my father loves and respect my mom (even when she's being a pain in his ass). Thats how you know it's the one I guess, they drive you up the wall, but at the end of the day you still want to hold them in your arms when you go to bed.

He said that the content of your "scientific" data is not the problem...the problem is that you made an across the board assumption....about the women here, specifically. The math and the concept behind the initial post in this thread is interesting and it may work somewhere, but the conclusion that is made is a too much of sweeping generalization for my liking and implies that all men are here for one reason and all women for another, and that this never changes. It's just not that simple. I came here to find other people who shared my interest, I I I lurked for years, and eventually joined as it became apparent that there was so much more to many of the people here than a tickle fetish. I've met some awesome people here, both men and women, that I'm very happy to post and chat with and to be friends with. If that makes me a penny guy, so be it.
What brought you to the TMF, babyshambles, and what prompts you to stay, or return as it were? (I'm not being a wise-ass, I'm just curious). You seem very cynical about the people here (after all, the contributing members here ARE the forum) from some of your threads, but obviously you are getting something from it since you're staying with it up to now. If I felt about it the way you seem to, I would have looked elsewhere for on-line socialing a while ago.
