Another quote that seems contradictory but isn't. Here is what he meant:

I can see how he (Sandy Koufax) won twenty-five games. What I don’t understand is how he lost five.

In 1963, Koufax had a record of 25 wins and 5 losses in the regular season. In the World Series, the Dodgers prevailed over the Yankees 4 games to 0, Koufax being the winning pitcher in Game 1 and in Game 4. The above was Berra's comment after seeing Koufax pitch those 18 innings against the Yankees.
