Oh, yes.

Your HMO really doesn't realize who they screwed over, do they? I am just as opposed to our lawsuit happy society, but sometimes you just have to go there ! Do you have any legal recouse against these a-holes because they have cost you a lot of pain and suffering. I don't know if that's where you want to take it or not. Whatever you decide is certainly up to you.

I just hope they get it right this time, that you're out of pain and are able to live the life you desire.

I've already spoken to a medical malpractice law firm here in Pittsburgh. we're looking at options. They won't charge me, they'll work on contingency. I want those lying f***s in NYC to regret pulling that on me.

The surgeon I'm consulting now

It's just an idea coming from the daughter of someone with an infection that might not even be the same as yours. As you know, I work at a doctor's office and I swear, the number of patients who call me "a friend of a friend told me about their friend that..." or even worse, people who do research on the internet... well, they sometimes drive me crazy.

But I guess I thought it was worth sharing with you. And while your doctor might dismiss it perhaps it's info that could help you.

agreed that the possible presence of infection is a serious concern.
He feels that the exact configuration in which the bone deteriorated indicates that there was an infection.
The same day I go for my MRI (lumbar spine and left hip, next tuesday) I will also have a blood test which will tell us if the infection is still there.
If it is,there are things we can do that will get rid of it, he says.
