Women: What Do You Like About Men?

I read this question on a blogger's website, and there were some fascinating responses from women. Some real insights into how females think about men that would never have occured to me, a male. The same day, I came here and saw the topic "Alternate Uses for Guys", which made me remember the blogger's site.

So I'd like to ask the ladies of the TMF: What do you like about men?

I'm not even kidding. I seriously want to hear the answer. Even if you're a lesbian. I want to know what you like about those of us who were born with testicles.

Serious answers only are allowed. No bashing, no snarkiness, no bullshit. The question is simple: what do you like about men?

I look forward to reading your responses.

That comfort you can get only while embraced in a pair of big strong manly arms...it's like no other feeling in the world.

I love their strength, their instinct and willingness to protect and shield, their tender touch, their ability to wrestle us down playfully and tickle us silly and make us feel like little squealing girls again....

I love their humor, their boyish charm, and the fact that while they may appear grown up in the outside world, at home they still pull out that little silly boy once in a while....

I love their intelligence, their handiness, and they way their eyes dance with desire and fire when we get "sexy" for them and do things to excite them....

And most of all I love their willingness to remove household rodents and bats and spiders and bugs, and to go into dark, creepy, cobwebby, bug infested places to check on odd noises or change a fuse. 😀

I like men a lot. They taste like chicken.
Oh wait, you said be serious, didn't you? I apologize. Let me try again...

My answer is a lot like Mimi's only she put it better than I would have.
I've always loved guys, even as a little kid, I had crushes, I never thought "boys were icky" or any of that like some of my friends did.
I'm a total girlie girl and I think it's the things that make them SO different from me is the attraction. It's that whole stong hands, hairy chest, deep voice thing. Yummy!
XOXO

I like that line.

All that stuff is standard procedure except for the odd noises.
I think most of us males would prefer to be armed when checking those out.

Sorry to have veered off-topic here, Rastafarian.

Well darlin', there's love and then there's LOVE so don't go getting too funky too soon on me, hmmm? :jester:
Of course I don't love all men, but those I do, I absolutely adore...
XOXO

Mimi, that was perfect! every word! every single word!

heros, who would slay dragons for you, and then cuddle up and give puppydog eyes for luvins. that's what men are made of. 🙂 a dichotomy of softness and strenght that just plain mesmerizes you! (sigh) aren't they neat?

This kinda-on and kinda-off topic but I'm wondering how you guys can be so supportive of us.

I've always thought we were mostly aggressive and territorial fart factories with a propensity for consuming excess amounts of beer and producing indefensible amounts of body hair.

I thought, anyway. Am I wrong?

I think Mimi put it in the best words, I LOVE the feeling of being SAFE. Its amazing, and when im with my man its one of the strongest feelings I can feel. And I love it. I can just breathe at a peaceful state and know that I am protected when im with him. He's always by my side, and I hope he'll always stay.

I still feel the same way when im with my father, granted its a lil different but the security that surronds me when im with him is never ending. I love that feeling.

Also what I love is when your in bed, and you snuggle with your man, the warmth that comes off him can just knock me right out. I tell ya. I think its also the security seeping through but I love the feeling of being bundled up in my man. I know it might be a hot day and he might not be up for it, but oh god its amazing. Thats when I can get the best sleep.

What I also like about men is they're so hard to understand. I like trying to figure them out. I know I never will, but I could get really close, lol. Its pleasurable trying to see whats working in they're heads.

Ok I think im done for now, I might pop back in with another lil thing but thats it for me now...

Mimi DID nail it. For sure....

Another thing that I love though is that they have just a plain different way of thinking than women do. If I am looking for someone to give me advice on what to DO about a problem I ask a man. They think about it and give honest and helpful answers. If I am looking for sympathy, I tell a woman about my problem.

I love how men get so excited when talking about something that they really enjoy. Their hands flail and their eyes get all big because they are just so jazzed to be talking about things that they enjoy. I makes me just kind of lean back and smile, watching them enjoy the moment.

I love having someone to call when my car breaks down on the side of the road... even if they don't know cars and are only there to offer a ride home.

I love the guy who thinks of something so simple like being the one to walk closest to the curb when walking down the sidewalk hand in hand.... just because it's the right thing to do and no other reason.

Thanks for the great thread... this one made me smile even though I'm a single gal.

All accounts by actual cannibals that I have read say that people taste like pork. 😱

Mimi typed my thoughts as well!

I have to add a couple of little things though. In my experience, men are unencumbered by some of the treasures that make women so bitchy! I don't have to worry about a man having cramps and getting pissy every month! Sorry, I've lived with enough women to know that this is a REAL plus! LOL

I also like that there are some men in the world who are hammer swinging, beer drinking, sports watching macho men while everyone else is watching....but behind closed doors, they become "those who worship the Queen." I can't speak for everyone else, but THAT works for me. If only the rest of the world knew what *I* knew. It's power and ownership in a way....that part of him belongs only to you. It's a yummy thought.

But sheesh! He better be willing to bang his chest and stomp a giant bug if one gets too close to me!

Nifty question!

Oh lordy Joby, do I know what you're saying! I totally agree and can completely relate. I'm one of those few fortunate woman who has a man who while out of the house in the every day world, is big and strong and hard working and macho and manly and sarcastic and is just such an uber GUY....but once he comes home and the door gets locked behind him, he becomes the most adoring, tender, affectionate, playful little cuddle bug and I just LOVE it. No one else gets this side of him....it's ALL mine. And I wouldn't share it with anyone in the world. And it makes being a woman a truly wonderful thing to be. 😉

Hmmm... Is that why you've had so many flat tires lately? 🙂

Okay, I'm taking notes. Maybe with all this I can get another girl, but I've been single for too long

(maybe I shouldn't say I'm a big arachnophobic...ick spiders)

I will state the obvious about men in context of relationships: the physical characteristics are what keep me going after guys rather than girls. I like penis.
