Isn't being tickled universally thought of as something that's "tolerated" maybe, but definitely not enjoyed? Its seen as horseplay and part of goofing around with other people (spouse/partner, friends, family). But as far as tickling goes isn't it pretty much accepted among the "vanilla" that its a lot more fun to give than to receive? Or is someone who enjoys being tickled not as unusual among the "uninitiated" as I might think?

Well frankly I don't care what the vanilla's think, but I think that they could potentially think of it as being weird. I suppose it is tolerated in society, and also that it is more fun to give then receive. I do think that someone who enjoys it though is not totally unusual, it being such a commonesque thing.

What is uncommon is knowing you enjoy it and vocalizing that. Potentially there are plenty of people into it who just don't voice that they are.

Absolutely not. A handful of the models I've worked with realized they liked being tickled after the experience, so it's not hard to imagine.

The only people I've ever met who absolutely thought it was awful were people who had been tortured by siblings/whatnot as kids. Everyone else's reactions ranged from bemusement to curiosity - even if they themselves weren't into it, they could see my point of view.

There are also some where tickling feels painful, like an electric shock, or causes unpleasant involuntary seizure-like reactions. :sadcry:

Well, yes. While those people may not enjoy it themselves, they still don't fault me for liking it. Probably the worst reaction I've ever gotten was "you mean there are people who actually like being tickled?"

Well, my last two relationships were with guys who liked to tickle but really aren't familiar with "our" world. Uh....let's just say I've gotten a lot of experience being the lee over the last couple of years!

They figured out on their own that I liked being tickled; pretty easy since I never told them the opposite. Also since I react so strongly, it became like a game to them; "hmmm......if I do this-what will she do?" kind of thing. Almost like going to the playground and testing the toys!

I don't think guys care-they'll do almost anything to please their partner. It's us females that get creeped out about stuff.

I was/am vanilla and I didn't think anything was weird about being a lee or a lur. I took me a little while to grasp how much people who are ticklephiles like to be tickled but other then that it was no big deal to me at all.

I do think thought that it would be easier for a women to tell a guy that she is ticklish rather then a the reverse. At the same time though if you are in a relationship with someone and they can't handle a tickling "fetish" that may be a red flag.

When I was in high school, I played a game called Zobmondo with my lessons teacher. The game consisted of decks of cards. You would pull one off and read it. It usually went something like, "Would you rather (insert something horrible), or would you rather (insert something horrible." The point was to guess what the other person was going to guess on your team without them telling you.

One question came up and it said, would you rather be tickled for 10 minutes or get 10 minutes worth of papercuts.

She wrinkled her nose in disgust and said, "Papercuts. I hate being tickled."

Well, either she had never gotten a papercut, or was just a special case. I'm thinking most people would take getting tickled over cut at any part of their body, especially if you consider where they could be cut...

Well i guess as a "vanilla" i use to think the whole tickling idea, or a girl that likes tickling was werid but still a nice way to break the ice (you know like a massage, get them to get over the problem being toched on a date....i really dont know how to say that right srry if i seem weird)

Then i met one girl that was REALLY into the whole scene (and the reason im on this site now) she is much more of a lee than a ler, but for her enjoyment im learning a little to enjoy a good laugh and give in to her control (god what love makes you do sometimes) so i guess to awnser the question...

I think the majority of people that arnt into tickling espesaly guys will see it as a way to get closer to a girl gain trust (u should some ppl even on this site that start talking to her about tickling and try to end up at something else) so better to give than recive. though with the right person they can be converted. As far as something tolerated, i dont know, i think most ppl understand the differance between playful children tickling and some one that "really" enjoys it...

oh well my opinion

I told my ex-girlfriend that I like to tickle and that I enjoy being tickled. She thought that it was different...perhaps a bit strange...but was not at all creeped out by it. She would frequently tickle me and liked to tickle me during sex. When she was on top she would press her hands on my chest which tickled like crazy and would scratch my stomach. She would often tickle me to turn me on and would always get a kick out of watching me laugh and squirm.

I don't know. As a whole I think we tend to be more tactile in our interactions. I've been told multiple times I care more about what my partner feels and am quick with a rub, massage, or just caresses in general. So I think most of us have that going for us. Beyond that, when handled right and you aren't trying to kill somebody, most of my friends and girlfriends were pretty open indulging of it to the point they started to like it. It is a lot of things on a lot of levels, so it's not just a kid's game.
