Its all about money and the chain (BK) doesn't give a damn. Its exactly the same with the Paris Hilton commerical for Carl's Jr. People are complaining about that being too racy and even Congress is supposedly involved now. They feel it has less to do with a burger and more to do with selling softcore porn, whereas BK is milking Lucas for his successful story and creation and people are complaining that the theme is too dark or evil for children.
Either way, its about money, and neither chain cares. I think a Carl's Jr. representitive was quoted as saying something along the lines of "get a life".
They simply do not care. Its a lucrative business (which countless people thrive on) and an essential part of their business and that they don't give a hootin' nickel about what some parent board says.
If I had a kid, it wouldn't stop me from allowing them to have a kid's meal, and I myself am sure as hell not going to buy a burger because some tramp is trying to tempt me to do so. I'd buy the burger because I was hungry damnit. LOL
