Okay, so I downloaded the flashplayer, downloaded the video from youtube in flv format, now what? When I try to open the video it turns up blank. Did I do something wrong?

About watching FLV videos, i don't know which player do you use,
but sometimes, when you run it, it just runs the player
and it needs to open the video again from the FLV player to play it.

it's ok, i always convert them into mpg with riva flv encoder. sometimes i don't get the sound though. thanx a lot, much appreciated.

There are several programs online that will allow you to convert the files. Here's one:

It's very easy :
On the "Input Video" field, browse your hard disk to find your FLV video to convert.

After, on the "Output Directory" field, set the folder where you wish to save your converted video.

Then, on the "Destination video file" field, just replace the file extension ".flv" by ".mpg" (without quotes).

For finish, just click "FLV Encode" button for converting the clip to MPEG.
