YouTube

This is true, Youtube underwent major retooling and also got rid of the get video option. It's sad, but I got all my Squidbillies episodes, they're cracking down on full length episodes too.
 
Well, there goes another of the great things of the internet I suppose....

Sadly Youtube hs got rid of the feature that allows us to download videos, so none of these seem to work anymore 🙁 .
 
My guess is you didn't read page 8. Youtube no longer allowes any downloading by means of the "get_video" option. Youtube has taken this feature out. Be sure you are aware of this because this should be a dead thread now.
 
Please oh please help ole Texas boy just having fits. Could someone please send me the flv player to my e-mail. It's not that I'm lazy . may be to stupid but more likely, I'm having issues. Computer issues. Not viris mine you, just some soft issues that are going to drive me to throw this thing in my boat and use it for something like an anchor. I have the video I've been looking for all my life , like since I was 6 weeks old and I have the extension correct. I cant get the dang player to download and I've tried for 2 days. For anyone that will take pity on this poor beast, my e-mail is [email protected]

I usualy get download links from YouTube through javimoya page,
but yesterday, the generated download links didn't working.
I'm able to download them manualy by searching the correct file link
in the YouTube clip page source code, but it takes a little more time,
i hope that was just a temporary problem from javimoya...
 
Tool to convert .flv to .wmv or .mpg

I recently downloaded a program that will convert .flv files to .wmv or .mpg or .avi format. It is called SUPER by eRightSoft, and it will convert different types of files into other formats. I tried this utility by converting an .flv file from YouTube to an .mpg and while it ended up being a larger size than the .flv after conversion, there was no significant loss of video quality from the original. The best part about this....its FREEWARE!!!!

You can go to the company's website to get this tool. Granted it is a 25MB download for the install program, but I think it is useful. Get it from here:

I have downloaded SUPER 2006 two days ago, it's an interresting program, yes 🙂
 
Check the message a few posts aboue yours from Cynthia_Massoul. This site will download the You Tube file to your hard drive. You just have to remember to add the .flv extension to your filename when you save it to your drive.

Yes, i have done it correctly many times before, but last time i post my message, it didn't worked ; but it's working again, now, i had surely done a mistake like selecting "Google" instead of "YouTube" before the conversion (by clicking too fastly) or something like this...
As it works again, you can forget my last post 🙂

Joker has been my idol since a little kid and damn I love his laugh 😀😀😀 So psychotic!
Even made a little clip of one part of a serie and only out of one laugh... that has a real collection!

I have experienced the same problem with javimoya.com yesterday ("page not found"). By the way, i know how to save YouTube clips into FLV without passing by any website, directly through the YouTube source code (but it's a bit hard to explain how). As the download link can be found in the source code of the YouTube page,
i wonder why YouTube doesn't allow to download clips instead of passing by many parallel sites or complex source code search... However, it exists some programs able to capture videos directly from our screen with they are played (a similar system as "Prt.Scn." key for capturing pictures but for videos).

Now, whether it is or isn't...I'm not sure what to do next. On all the links posted so far, for download, I've tried the 'save target as' option, but have simply gotten an error. I downloaded the flash player posted in the first page of this thread, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

Also, will I have to have these load every time, or will they henceforth be saved on my hard drive (so I don't have to bother with my dialup)?
