Text-based tickling game: The Supreme Element

I am stuck on the recover brandy quest. I am currently standing just outside the desert. I am not sure what to do next. Anyone have any ideas?

Don't worry about the brandy just yet, you (might) come to it later! For now, look around the area and see if you can find something that might provide a clue to finding the raiders' hideout :)

Wonderful, terrifically splendid game. I've played a few Vx Ace games over on the TickleTheater forums but most of those do not hold a candle to this excellent writing in this game. I had great fun playing this, and you 'A New Project'. They challenge you to think as well as providing you with a lot of fun (though I confess I had my fair share of frustrations). So I have to ask: will there be a sequel? Will you be doing another one of these tickle games? I think there are those (such as myself) who would be quite happy to pay a few bucks for such a game of such high quality.

I can't wait to give this a whirl. I loved 'A New Project', this should be just as good if not better :D

Thank you, it means a lot to me to hear that you enjoyed it! I was actually kicking around the idea of a sequel, although I wanted it to feel different than the original and was considering changing some combat mechanics. I'll keep track of good ideas and hopefully something will develop :)

Just tried to DL this today, and Norton rejected it. Said the files were unsafe and removed them automatically. Since nobody else seems to be having problems, I'm sure the problem is somehow with my antivirus. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm a big fan of Kunzite's work, and this looks really cool!

I'm afraid I've never had any problems with this before. I have an alternate download on Tickle Theater, but it's basically the same files. I've never had Norton try to delete anything automatically.

Turns out Norton was rejecting it just because it wasn't widely known. I was able to restore it and make it work. Lots of fun so far!

That would be amazing! Any chance of any teasers? Is it going to be the same kind of characters/setting? Will be playing as the Tickle Overlord (now that would be a plot twist, playing as the big villain for once). Looking forward to things! Be great to hear of these 'great ideas' you speak of!

This is a great game. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, and like the (admittedly limited) Baldur's Gate vibe of exploring the cities and finding quests. Awesome experience.

Wonderful, thank you! There is not nearly enough tickling IF porn. I especially like that different enemies and different techniques have unique descriptive text. I'm also impressed by the game being actually good -- competent prose, entertaining plot, excellent pacing, a nice map... I am impressed.

Some minor nitpicks, ranging assortedly from "wishlist" to "bug":

* You can't sit on the benches in the Tree Grove in Ghyll Village, even though they're described as for sitting.
* The long descriptions in Ghyll Village say "Ghyll village" instead of "Ghyll Village".
* You can't lie on the altars. (Mabel's or the Goddess's)
* You can't molest unconscious foes. :p (Maybe a "Keep your mind on the game." refusal-message, like for trying to kiss the barmaid.)
* Enemies' clothes aren't implemented as referrable/examinable nouns.
* During certain cutscenes, trying to do things will instead advance the scene. A particularly obvious example is with the fortune-teller, where commands like >NO or >GO SOUTH result in taking off my shoes and presenting my bare feet...
* At the Steep Incline: "a great of boulders" is probably missing a word.
* The figurines can't be called "figure" or "deity".
* The statues in the mausoleum can't be called "deities".
* The output of >QUESTS when there are no current quests is a bit inelegant.
* Trying to sell a nonsellable item results in an error.
* The default grammar for spellcasting seems to be ">CAST [spell] [target]" rather than ">CAST [spell] ON [target]". This results in strange messages like "(the bandit)" instead of "(on the bandit)" and "What do you want to cast the Ghostly Hands?" instead of "What do you want to cast the Ghostly Hands on?"
* Some shoes (e.g. the stilettos) are called "some pair of whatever" instead of "a pair of whatever".
* Spells are called e.g. "the Ghostly Hands" instead of "Ghostly Hands".
* Equipment isn't listed in the >INVENTORY. There should be at least a message saying that >EQUIPMENT is a useful command.
* The information in the manual should be duplicated under >HELP.
* It's not possible to target specific body parts (e.g. >TICKLE FEET, >CAST GHOSTLY HANDS ON BANDIT'S ARMPITS).
* The Amazon warrior in the Sandy Pit can't be called "warrior".
* It's not possible to throw fairy dust at the student in the Grassy Corner.
* Dropping the smoky candle in the Amazon Village and then leaving appears to be an irreversible mistake.
* The golden key can't be called "gold key".
* You can't sit on Tyrelia's throne.
* Sometimes the amount of HP an enemy has left, or that they take from an attack, is an obviously wrong value, like 185130081. Sometimes (nonmagical) tickling seems to restore some of an enemy's HP. (Others have mentioned this too.)
* It's not necessary to list the store's inventory after every command, and it clutters the screen when I'm trying to compare stats.
* Defeated foes can't be called "body".
* At the swimming pool: >SWIM - "There's not enough water to swim in."
* "The dancing girl wriggles her hips winks suggestively at you." - probably should have an "and" in there.
* "What do you want to cast the Ghostly Hands?" Ideally this should say "Who do you want to cast Ghostly Hands on?" (three changes)
* >GIVE BRANDY TO MERCHANT: in addition to the correct response, there's also the message "The merchant doesn't seem interested."
* It's not clear whether Enhance Ticklishness stacks with fairy dust.
* In the description of the Tower Landing: "top of he tower" should be "top of the tower".
* >EXIT and >OUT don't work to go through the portal.

Heading for the final showdown, but still haven't found the brandy. Any hints?

nakedfeet: Haha, that's quite a list! I should feel honored that you found the game immersive enough to take such detailed notes! If I upload a new version I will correct the errors and typos. Thanks for pointing these out!

munchausen: This one gave the most people difficulty; I admit the hint is pretty obscure. Well, it's in the desert fortress, specifically in a place where you might overhear some conversation. Stick around and see if you learn anything :)

Does the mountain altar work? I only found one figurine, the sandy one. Any hints on where to look for the others? Also, is there a way to push the student in the Amazon Village over the edge? I tried enhancing, didn;t do it, neither did vines or fairy dust. Oh, and when doed the fortune teller come in handy? I went through the game and totally forgot to check in on her before raising sail. Awesome game, Kunzite! Thanks for making it!

Hi Quaint! The mountain altar works, although I've tried to keep the locations of the figurines a closely guarded secret! They're out there somewhere, but they're not easy to find!

There is indeed a way to break the Amazon student! But it's going to require a combination of magics to break her resolve. You're already on the right track, but of course remember that you always have your fingers too! And after you defeat her, you may find that your reward is useful in dealing with the fortune teller. Thanks for playing! :)

Wow... Just discovered this amazing text game...
The complexity is impressive and your writing is absolutely excellent. (You are a brilliant story-teller)

Hats off to you for creating it.. it is truly a masterpiece...
I hope you'll consider making a sequel?

Thank you very much! It always means a lot to hear from people who enjoy the game, and I'm honored it had this much of an effect on you! I can't say anything official about a sequel yet, but I am kicking around some ideas right now. If things come together I'd love to make a follow-up!

Hello again...
Can I get a hint please?
I'm stuck in the raider base (balcony) going round and round.

I see the sets of coloured spheres in the art galleries, but I can't quite figure out what combination I need.
I also saw the note in the atlas (in the library)... I'm hoping that'll be handy later?

Can you give me any advice?
Thank You :)

The atlas does indeed have a use, but it's not inside the base. Just keep a note of it for later!

As for the colored spheres, the sets of spheres in the two art galleries will have an effect on the mosaic in the Mosaic Room. To figure out which colors you need from the two galleries, look at the two orbs the woman in the mosaic is holding. Hope this puts you on the right track!

Thank you, for this great game!
Unfortunately, I got stuck pretty early on, right after the first boss. I got her Windsphere and... well, I just wandered around, trying to find a use for it, but failed to... Thank you in advance!

P.S. I really liked the game's response for my attempt to tell a password to the Traveler before I could possibly know it :bubble2:...

Hi, I'm glad you're enjoying the game so far! Now that you have the Windsphere, your time in Ghyll Village is about over for now. Try heading back towards the crossroads and going in a different direction: you might find something new now!

Hi, thanks for the game! It's very interesting!

That said ... could I get some help please? I'm hopelessly stuck :(

I'm new to text based games so maybe I just don't realize something obvious, but I have no idea how to get out of the tunnel with the pink-haired girl. I've tried every possible phrasing of "back the hell out of this god damn tunnel" but I've been stuck for longer than I care to admit. It's one thing to get stuck on a puzzle, but I don't think that leaving the tunnel is supposed to be some grand adventure. If I could get told what to type to escape that would be awesome.

Edit: I finally typed "up". Nevermind, no help required!

Glad to hear you figured it out! "Up" and "down" are still "compass directions" even though they don't get used that often!

I don't think anyone has written a walkthrough for this game yet, although someone on Tickle Theater did post a map (I believe it's lost, now). Maybe someone will take up the task in our new Tickling Games subforum!
