The Jedi Order: The fact that they're basically Catholic Priests with lightsabers.
Starfleet: Racism. Tuvok has been in Starfleet for almost 100 years and he's still a Lt. Commander. Also, the British have apparently re-conquered France.
MI6 in the Bond films: Understaffing. It's apparently 007, M, and Q against al-Qaida. When they've infilrtrated your bases, stolen your nukes, and held your civilization for ransom, the terrorists have already won, idiots.
