Just my two cents here... I think that this thread, while it has the potential to be embarassing for some, can help a lot too. I know for me it's nerve wracking to send a pm to someone you don't know just because you read a post that you agreed with or something of that nature. And if a thread like this can outline some of the things you should or shouldn't do... it might make it easier for people just starting out or who are afraid to reach out.

I think it's been mentioned enough that the idea behind this thread is not malicious or to humiliate. No names are being put out there... and as long as no one goes out of the way to talk down about anybody, I think it's a good thing.

By the way... the only one I noticed that actually gave an idea of a good, easy message instead of a hugely creepy one so far was Skip. I like that. It's always nice to give people an idea of the right way instead of just highlighting all the wrong.
