Not to knock clips4sale, but does anyone long for the times before tickling media was overwhelmingly clips? Full length tickle vids are a thing of the past. I love to convienience of the clips, but i don't know, i loved the cheesy stories in the movies, the bad acting, the classic "what are you doing?" being asked to someone who just pulled off the models shoes and is holding a feather, and the little roleplay fantasy plots, i don't know where this is going, i guess i'm just wondering if anyone misses that stuff?

yes.

the only 2 companies i really *prefer* are silvercherry and ctg.

Most companies nowadays... idk it's just not the same.

realtickling and paradise are former shadows of themselves (probably because they really are lol)

I miss full-length videos, and not because I enjoy any cheesy acting, or roleplay, or whatever. What I like is seeing a 'lee-'ler interaction evolve over the course of a long session. MTP Jeff's First Time videos were great for seeing the trust build between the 'lee and 'ler, and for watching the 'lee's responses evolve as the tickling progressed from introduction and exploration, to increasing intensity.

To me, the current trend of short clips is like watching just the middle of a movie. Out of the context of the whole session, watching some girl laughing while fingers scrabble doesn't hold much impact for me.

I agree

Yeah Lindy, what you said about it being a scene in the middle of a movie is perfect. It's like watching a battle scene from Braveheart and that's it, it's cool, but there is soooo much more your missing.

Well, with Tickle Television coming back with their big re-debut soon, I think you'll get your wish!

Can I get an Amen, Brothers and Sisters?

The whole point of the corny acting and cheesy stories (corny and cheesy...mmmmmm!) in full length videos was that there was a reason for the tickling, as ridiculous as it might have been (Dr. Ticklestein, anyone?). There was also a sense of play and humor that's lacking in a lot of today's "cut to the good stuff" clips. Say what you want about Cal-Star, a lot of the models actually looked like they were having fun. Maybe it's not as satisfying to some as the "strap them down naked, tickle them until they cry and then mock-rape them with your big penis substitute" - oops, er-- "vibrate them to non-consensual orgasm" (what the holy hell is that all about, anyway??). Standby---Shrill squeals of indignation from the "hardcore" crowd in 3...2...1... anyways.....

Maybe it's just me. I actually like women. If they're doing something that turns me on, I like seeing them having fun doing it. I understand there are people with darker desires, and I'm sure there are models that have fun with the hardcore stuff, obviously, or they wouldn't be doing it. It just doesn't look like as much fun.

Just my opinion, anyway.

No amen from me, Brother.

Clips4sale is awesome, I lived for the day a website would have all the tickling you would need, different styles, different ticklees, all kinds of choices. Yes, at times it's become watered down with some bad clip companies but when you become popular.. everyone jumps on board.

We know which ones we like and we purchase from them. The long movie versions with cheezy story lines just didn't probably produce like the short clips. I remember when Real tickling with TiB first started short clips (before clips4sale), I was furious but times change and so do we.

Currently short clips are the fad, as soon as someone comes up with something cool for tickling media, everyone will follow suit. Maybe Tickletelevision will do that, who knows.

Thank you clips4sale for being my pot of tickling goodness, when I need a quick fix.

DK

As StevePerry4Ever said; just like everybody can appreciate the value of a quick, cheap burger from a drive-thru. It's fast, satisfying, and a hell of a lot cheaper than the old full-length vids. All we're saying is that for some of us, there's something missing.

Alright, fair enough. The rest of us will try not to take it too personally.

bad wording on my part. I'll edit it to *prefer*

btw i bought your last laugh beta and i enjoyed it =D

so no, don't take it personally. I am talking about the whole.

when i say whole, i mean all the shitty amateur 3 clip stores on clips4sale

That's ok, I know you weren't generalizing. I was being more facetious than anything else. I guess didn't come out that way in my post, though. My bad.

I'm glad you enjoyed Beta. That's one of my oldest videos. My second, actually. Maybe not my best from a technical point of view (picture-wise, I mean). I was still trying to get the hang of making videos (I still am, really). But it turned out ok enough, I guess. My work has always been on the amateur side anyway.

I guess I should contribute to the actual discussion of this thread. When downloadable clips started to become more popular, I was a little disappointed. Not only because I didn't have any clips and had no idea how to make them, but also because I kind of preferred tangible products. In fact, that's why I'm still producing DVD versions for all of my videos. I know there are people who prefer DVDs, including some of my regular customers, and I would hate to disappoint them by droppng that format.

Of course, I eventually didn't have a choice but to start producing clips myself. Otherwise The Last Laugh would have died. Nowadays, I make significantly more clip sales than DVD sales. And I certainly can't blame the many producers who only sell clips. They're the most popular format, and offering physical videos in addition to the clips represents even more work for rather poor returns. Still, I think physical videos have a certain charm, and it's a shame that they're so much harder to find these days.

I must say, however, that my reasons for liking DVDs have nothing to do with plots. For instance, if I may quote StevePerry4Ever:

"i loved the cheesy stories in the movies, the bad acting, the classic "what are you doing?" being asked to someone who just pulled off the models shoes and is holding a feather, and the little roleplay fantasy plots"

It's just fine if he liked that kind of approach, and it's also fine if other producers do it that way. But personally, I've always hated it. "Cheesy" and "bad acting" are some of the main reasons why I can't stand plots and scripted dialogue. I just can't take such stories seriously within a tickling context. Hearing models say things like "Why are you taking my shoes off?" or "What are you going to do with that feather" or "Please don't tickle my sensitive, defenseless soles" makes me cringe like you have no idea. To me, it just makes a video seem fake, even if the actual tickling is genuine. I don't know, I don't feel tickling lends itself to that sort of video. But that's only my opinion.

I'm with Lindy on this....

I like to see the unfolding of the event from start to finish.
The clips are like a trailer for a movie.

I liked videos, old Solefully Yours in particular, but between online clips and VHS was the part I liked - DVD. I like that I can either watch the whole thing, seeing the progression of response and interaction, or just catch a favorite scene. More portable and stashable, too. 🙂

Despite not having used them yet, I actually agree with those who miss plots. A video or clip with a plot is the best, as long as the plot makes some sense. As a producer and a 'lee and a female, one reason I gravitate toward both watching and filming non-plot tk media is that the old Cal-Star type material was utterly ridiculous. I adored their use of decent looking male 'lers and genuinely fun 'lees, but the plots made the women seem as intelligent as dryer lint and often insulted the intelligence of the consumer as well. That always annoyed me, can't a girl with a brain be in a bratty mood and bug her boyfriend until he tickles the bejeezus out of her? That's what happens in the majority of real life tickling that I've witnessed or been a part of, that's the kind of thing that gets a tk-enthusiast's blood racing, but you rarely saw that back in the day. It's not that I don't enjoy fantasy, but what woman has ever tickled her nekkid best friend for kissing her boyfriend or messing up her new shoes...? C'mon now.

What I believe you're going to end up seeing from myself and other producers is a hybrid of the plot-driven and the tk-only, where you have a 'ler and 'lee ad-libbing just a bit to set up a mild plot, and then going at it. I prefer that, since A) many, many consumers crab about paying for a single second of plot even if they *like* plots, and B) I agree with those who theorize that if your 'lee can remember her lines and get them out during the action she's not being tickled properly :devil2:
