A problem I've got. (Anyone who made a post on a thread directed at me, please read!)

If anyone has said anything to me or tried to attract my attention on any of the thread I was posting on recently, I might not have got the message. I've had a notification problem with the TMF just recently and havn't been getting the e-mails to tell me that there's been a response.

Hopefully this'll be working again soon.

Shouldn't the posts be listed in your profile? I don't even check the posts through my e-mail, anymore.

Try this Jim..

Go into profile...click edit options..turn this off..

Use 'Email
Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in.

Save changes..go back into edit options and reset that option on and save changes..it may work...

Jimbo...Ray is right. After spending a few months constantly flooded with e-mail notifications, I shut them off. It's a good option to have for those who don't do much posting. But, for those of us who do a lot, it can become a nuisance. If you respond to a thread in a section you don't normally visit, you can always select the option for that thread only.

It's fixed now. I'm receiving e-mail notifications again. Ray, thanks to you and your generous wife for the advice. 😀

Doesn't really bother me that much Ann, because apart from Spam I don't really get much other e-mail. I do get up to 30 notifications a day though, so I can see why your patience wore out.

i'm having the same problem for the last week

i tried ven's sugestion, but when i hit the submit changes button, i get a message saying i "must revert the modifyoptions template".
what the heck does that mean? and how do i do that?
please e-mail me the explanation, as i won't know if anyone has posted a reply.

Heck, I've had this problem for the last couple of days since the TMF went offline briefly. It's good to notify us that it happens. Sometimes it really IS the server.

FWIW, my prefs ARE set to notify me. I've tried resetting twice now, and am hopin' it goes back t'behavin' soon. 😉 We'll figure it out, I suspect. I already mailed Myriads, too.

It always worked for me, apart from that time I tried to change my addy. Even then it cleared up after 2 days or so.
