"A question about tickling stories."

I am really happy to see folks loving an actual story to go with the tickling. I believe that developed characters would only enhance the tickling scenes. Because if you can get people to care about the characters themselves, the more intense the tickling scenes will be. Us writers have a much greater challenge than video producers. We have to create the "image" of tickling through words. That's what makes it fun.

I also love world building. To create a world that someone can get wrapped up into and enjoy the story and the characters. I know it is more likely folks will like a single scene, with a loose plot to set it all up. I truly value those fans and writers that prefer the "novel" version of stories. Because if anyone follows my "Depupty's Universe" series, you are reading a novel for sure. Heck, the series "The Deputy & The Outlaw: Retribution" series is 21 parts long, has well over 250,000 words combined, about 750+ pages on Microsoft Word. It is a novel. And I love those fans who read the whole thing! I am currently about to start the next phase, so I hope folks still enjoy it.

I look forward to other "world building" stories, that include tickling scenes. We need more of them!
I also love long, deep stories filled with all kinds of characters. I see here many more people choosing this style than I expected!

Personally, I like a well developed story with good "tickle flip strength".

For those of you not familiar with the term, "flip strength" is a term from porn literatue. The ideal book (one with good flip strength) was one where you would find a sex scene on any page you randomly flipped to. Now replace sex with tickling and you will know what I expect from my fetish stories - a good plot with a steady distribution of tickling.

"The Laughing Madness" does it really well.

@aberdeen makes sense!!

I love tickling stories and in my opinion, for what it’s worth.. if you have a long story to post, post it in parts so it’s easier to digest.. and that way you can leave your avid traders begging for more..

Great question, and I'm glad to hear so many people like story development! I try to make my fictional stuff seem like a good mainstream story that just happens to swerve into tickling, and I usually put a lot of context and character development into my true stuff. I just think stories are far more fun (both to read and to tell) if you know the people involved and what makes them tick.

Isn't that the truth

Much prefer a long story with great character development and an interesting plot!

I do feel like this line needs to be banned: "her feet were so ticklish because she got pedicures often" 🤣
I mean, when you put it like that, it doesn't really make sense. However, frequent and/or regular pedicures can make you much more ticklish. I think I actually became more sensitive after several pedicures and my wife is always extremely ticklish to the touch after a pedicure. She won't even let me play tickle her because she's too sensitive.

This is a great question and I enjoy seeing everyone's responses!

I've actually been working on several stories myself, but always feel like they're too long and the intro to the tickling is too long, and end up deleting them and restarting several months later. Still haven't posted one yet. Been working on the same stories on and off for several years now. Delete and repeat. Maybe I will just say screw it and go for it.

As for my preference, def prefer longer stories, but they need to hook me in the beginning with an interesting or sexy plot.

You are so right....never see that in my stories.

Good point Gentle. Here is one of my stories, not sure how I could break it up, but I know what you mean.

Story and character development is always more interesting to me, whether I’m reading or writing tickle fiction or reading or posting true accounts of tickling but as someone here mentioned, my interest, like theirs, must be peeked early on for me to fully stay invested in a writing.

Having said the above, sometimes a short and sweet well written tickle tale is also a great read but generally I prefer a well thought out story.

I'm a very visual person.
I like good description of the participants, the tickling reactions, the aftermath, and any revenge.
I can visualise myself as a participant if it is descriptive enough. 😁🤩

u just made me realize that I think a lot of ppl must be very visual as whenever they ask about my old tickle torturing experiences they rlly wanna know loadssss about the details of the ppl we did it to, how they looked during the different stages, the exact set up in like a lot of detail, how everyone watching was reacting and who they were, all the stuff we said to the person and what they said to us especially when we were immobilizing them, the exact methods we used on different parts, how they were afterwards, what was said about the event at later stages etc etc etc

these convos can go on for agesss even over a year ngl!!!

so its defo not just wanting to go straight to the tickling very very few ppl go straight to that when we chat

very good observation @torturoustickle !

I basically require some character development for me to get into a story. The relationships between characters is what makes it for me. However, I like them to start with a "hook", just like any non-tickling work of literature. If it starts with "It was a day like any other, me and my girlfriend were celebrating our 3rd anniversary. That reminds me of our first two, in which nothing interesting happened, but anyway..." Yeah, I might click away lol. Back story, world building, and the relationships between characters is super important and makes or breaks a story, but if the first 5000 words has nothing that indicates the general direction of the plot, I find it a little meandering and lose interest. I think there's a delicate balance there.

Tickling is the full package for a lot of people. The participants, the set up, the crazy reactions, the aftermath. And of course any type of revenge.
I remember a lot of my own exploits very well, and can play them out in my head.
I also like to study my Lee's when they're in the throws of ticklish agony.
Mostly so I can ensure the most excruciating tickle torture of course. 😈
I guess that's something true ticklephiles have in common.

I think you’re absolutely right here: without good character development, everything feels too artificial—like 1980s porn videos, where a mailman knocks on a woman’s door and half a second later they’re already having sex all over the house with no context whatsoever. The combination of personality and context is what can make a good story stay with you and make sense, or else be nothing more than a bland, pointless tickling scene. Not to mention the constant: “hahahahahahahahahahah… heee… hahahahahah…” Honestly, this is a detestable device in my view, and it makes it seem as if a child were doing the writing.

ye well tbh if u wanna tickle the person at their absolute maximum possible level of ticklishness in each place then u rlly gotta focus on all the feedback ur getting including all the different facial expressions and the little sharp changes in their face eyes, and their sounds or lack of sounds, all their movements which u can detect even when they are perfectly immobilized by seeing the effects of muscular responses and reflexes coming from within which u can see but also feel.

focusing on all these things helps to make sure u can make any necessary adjustments to ur tickling instantly AND know when to keep the same stimulation going which unfortunately is a major thing ticklers normally fail to do by moving on wayyy too quick

I agree with not rushing. Even in a short session, you should take your time and explore your Lee. I have found the most ticklish spots that otherwise would have been missed. Then, when you concentrate on just that spot, you can drive a Lee insane with just subtle changes in pressure and technique.

Like most of us, I like a well-developed story with character development, that is easy to follow. I know this is old school, but grammar, punctuation and spelling are a must. Without it, I pass right over it. Lately, I am appreciating pictures accompanying the story, either real life or AI photos. They let us into the image of what the writer has in their head, and enhances the story.
