I apologize if this topic has been visited before, but I have not seen it discussed here.....

I don't think any ladies are doing this....ladies have their own quirks, but I think this wierdness is strictly in the deranged realm of the males....

I have no proof, (yet), but I have strong suspicions , and I have been talking to some TMF ladies about this and they suspect the same....

So here it is......

Do you think, as I do, that there may be a few TMF "male" members that have TMF female siggy names and profiles, and post on the forum acting and responding to posts as "women"?

Who knows the warped reasons for this behavior, they be numerous.....

Female intuition is far stronger than any suspicions I have, and there are more than a few women here who tell me they also believe this "TMF gender bending" is taking place.......

What do you think?

Without a doubt.

I'm sure there are a few sickos like that running around here, they usually pop up in the group that's been around for a few years and have little to no posts. I hate to generalize like that, but I've seen a few weird people like that pop up in the chat room from time to time that makes me question if they're really on the up and up regarding whom they are.

So yes, I'm inclined to agree with you. As for why they do this, I have no clue. Perhaps another member can shed some light on why.

If I had to guess I would think its because they can get away with it on the internet and like to play immature jokes or talk to other women knowing they won't be ignored because of f/f interaction or talk to another male for that reason.

I know for a fact that at least one member has done this in the past, though I believe it has stopped in that case. If you suspect someone, you can always have a mod check it out.

can you give a quick summation of that occurrence, Redmage? What was the situation?


and while obviously immature and unethical, is it technically against the rules to do this?

Oh hell yes! Without naming names there was a person posing as a female who claimed that her college aged son and his buddies tickled her. As it turned out this person finally admitted he was a 23 yr old male trying to get close to females in the chat room. There are other obvious examples and your right Jaba I think females have a better radar to detect phonies!

well I've learned that most women don't talk to eachother about tickling or being tickled as much as "guys" do with them and its usually the first sign that its a male.

yep..... there really is something to the female radar around here....ladies sure have been my "GPS navigational system" for this forum.....

and most of the time when they tell you they have a wierd feeling about somebody here, they are right.......

Sadly there are more than a few of those here, who are doing this thing for a reason beyond my understanding. I've encoutered them multiple times in the chatroom and that's the reason I don't go there much anymore

Said person spends most of the time complaining about the 'fakes' in there, in fact, seems to have an obsession with this. However, whaddaya know, same person has it so that no one on this forum can confirm that this person is on the up and up...

but wait, Knox ....surely you're not insinuating that a member who seeks to "promulgate their own fantasies" by posting and posing on this forum as a member of the opposite sex, is engaging in "acceptable" fantasy activity?....I mean a person should have a reasonable expectation that if he is talking to a TMF female, that she be, in fact, "female"?

i have heard there are males who pose as females here, and post certain rather provocative threads in order to ensnare other females..when in actuality, the person is a male..i have a hard time seeing through those threads myself, someone warned me once...why they want to do this is beyond me...i can vouch that i myself am all female...why would i want to pretend to be anything else?

Its a definite! no doubt! sick bastards! i think youll find most of these frauds are the ones that are first time posters who claim to be 18 and horribly ticklish. then you never hear from them again.

Well......its just that there are some issues and topics here that we guys would like to understand from a woman's perspective...

And I would prefer that the person offering insight on those matters not be a man, posing here as a female.....

I've been in the online community for many years. It doesn't just happen here. It happens everywhere. The annonymity of the internet allows for people to do a variety of things...some good, some not so good.

You would know me as an authentic female member if I told you my other handle. But, I'm not going to do that, since this one was set up for the purpose of posting without people needing to know who I am. I get questions from people wondering if I'm for real, too. So, it doesn't just affect the guys. It affects us gals as well.

There are likely as many reasons for guys doing this as there are guys doing it. What Milagros said about it not mattering is true to an extent. But, it's also true that there are guys out there who are looking for a relationship and fall into some painful traps with these posers. I have no problem with someone posing as something other than their true self...to a degree. When it comes to crossing lines that can lead to hurting someone on any level, it's just wrong.
