Not to quibble, but having bounced around the place abit, I do now notice that, instead of being invisible anymore, I simply have an asterix by my name.

Also, it's Sunday and there's no new Pic o' the Week up. What have y'all been doing? Slackers! 😛
 
The search function seems to be fine, actually. In fact, for the first time in several months, I was able to search, and find some of my very old stories, from last year, and two years ago. I'm sure other things will come back in due time.

im glad its back up, but my vote is i hate the new format. the old one was much less cluttered and easier to navigate.
 
200 is a LOT of private message space. As I recall, the old forum used to have a limit of about six per PM box, so this one works much better, apparently.
I do have a question about whether something was carried over from the old forum: There used to be an option called: "List by Date Joined" so we could see in descending order when we all joined and such. Will that function still be kept in the new forum, has it gone away, or is it just part of the cosmetic work that Myriads mentioned has to be tweaked on the forum? If someone has an answer to this, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's odd. The first thing I can think of is to check in the usercp under options and make sure you're still actually invisible. If so, try turning it off and on again. Since we're using a whole new forum system, it may need to be kicked once to get it to work again 🙂

Also, as a follow-up question, can you see other invisible users with asterix's next to their name? Maybe you're just not invisible to yourself anymore, which would kind of make sense.
 
Thank God I'm invisible, `cuz I'd die of embarrassment if you saw how red my face is at present! 😱

The asterix's do equal invisible. You can always check by looking at the little circle next to your user name in threads. If green, you are online. If grayish, you are offline (You'd have to be logged out to see this next to your own name, obviously). And if the circle is red, you are invisible.
 
What color is it if you think you're the Richard Mulligan character from "Soap"?

Too obscure a reference for everybody? Anybody? Bueller? 😉
 
Parts of posts that used to be invisible using the color=silver command are now visible: SILVER SHOWS UP NOW.

This is the first chance I've had to get online and check things out. Looks great! Thanks for all the hard work! I'll poke around more later to play with things and pass along info. if I come across any other kinks...pun intended. :cool2:

One thing I was wondering about... Is the background color scheme going to remain the same? It seems taht it will be much easier for those with vision problems to not have the print on the darker background.

I have to say it does look really good. Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into it, which I really appreciate. However it does now look similar to TickleTheater, and I also miss the icons along the top of the page.
 
This is the default appearance of vbulletin 3.x, I think it looks good and obviously so does tickletheater 🙂

I like how you can do a message preview on outgoing P.M.s now. Either couldn't before, or I never figured how to, anyway...

Strange how the default setting for P.M.s seems to be centered text rather than flush left, as is usual...
 
I really like that too, youre right that you couldnt before.
