I am so addicted to disney movies, mostly for the music. What are your top 5 favorite disney movies? Here are mine;

1. Mulan
2. Aladdin
3. Beauty and the Beast
4. Oliver and company
5. Mulan 2

I've outgrown the movies, but I'll never outgrow their soundtracks.

So I'll go with my top 5 songs instead:

I'll make a man out of you - Mulan

Poor Unfortunate Soul - The Little Mermaid

Be Prepared - Lion King

Circle of Life - Lion King

Kiss the Girl - Little Mermaid

In no particular order.

My like for Disney movies tend to gravitate towards non-musicals like The Black Hole.

Personally, I think that whenever a musical number is about to begin, it tends to slow the movie down.

Actually, I despise musicals in general.

The only one I have ever tolerated was Pete's Dragon. Even then, I had a habit of fast fowarding through the song numbers.

I was as a little kid. I'm from The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes and The Love Bug era. Recent Disney though I mainly listen to some of the better done soundtracks and usually when Peabo Bryson is involved as in Beauty and the Beast.

Oh yeah! Will never get too old for disney 😀

1. The Princess And The Frog
2. The Lion King
3. Aladdin
4. Up
5. Wall-e

I have been to disneyworld about 5 times in the last 7 years. I'm 27 and I friggin love that place. The weather's great, I love walking through the parks and everything. And oh yea, the women that work there and dress in the costumes are friggin unbelievable looking. Being a nylon fan don't hurt either because like every girl who works there has to wear them as part of the dress code.

I'm in college right now and actually applied and got accepted to do an intership through the disney college program, but I felt like I'm too old to do it since most of the other interns will be like 21 or so, so I regretfully declined the offer.

My favorite Disney movies tend to be the ones that are more underrated. I really love Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Brother Bear, Treasure Planet, The Fox and the Hound, The Rescuers, Robin Hood, and Mulan. 😀 There are some that I watch mostly for the sheer beauty of the animation like Sleeping Beauty which has the most stunning backgrounds. :redheart:

I love Disney films.

1. Song of the South
2. Summer Magic
3. Fox and the Hound
4. 20,000 leagues under the Sea
5. Treasure Island.

There are many more but you did say top 5!

The only thing about Disney that I am addicted to is Zoog Disney... That and Mickey's huge head logo.

I miss Zoog ... back in the '90s ... when their shows were entertaining to me. :sadcry:

"Fox and the Hound"

Favorite Disney TV Shows

I love the older stuff myself.

1. Fantasia. Incredible animation, when you consider it was all done by hand as were all the old Disney classics. Add the soundtrack by the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leopold Stokowski, and you have a timeless classic that could never be duplicated.

2. Pinocchio. Cliff Edwards voicing Jiminy Cricket alone makes this one of my favorites.

3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The first full-length animated feature film produced in the US, it set the standard for decades.

4. The Sword in the Stone. After the death of Uther Pendragon, Wart is tutored by Merlin and will become King. This was also the last full-length animated feature film released by Disney Studios while Walt is still alive.

5. The Jungle Book, based on the famous novel by Rudyard Kipling. Walt was involved in the production, but had passed by the time it was released in 1967.

Sorry, I know this is too much information. 😀

Why in God's name did they make a Mulan 2? The concept alone is almost as bad if not worse than than 'Little Mermad 2' or 'Cinderella 2' (among others) :banghead:

Okay, more on topic, the only Disney movie(s) that I could probably watch because I truly like them would be either 'Toy Story' or 'A Bugs Life' (which is really just a kids version of Kurosawa's 'Seven Samurai') and possibly 'The Lion King' (which is a kids version of 'Hamlet').

The only one for sure that I will watch regardless is 'Fantasia', which is just plain awesome any way one slices it.

For starters, Disney and Pixar are two different studios. That being said, aside from The Emperor's New Groove, Disney has not made a good animated film since The Lion King in 1994 (*Sidenote* I haven't seen Princess and the Frog yet). Everything before then can hold it's own and is generally viewed with respect in most animation forums, but Pochahontas onward has been weak at best. The only truly great animated tv series they've ever made is Gargoyles.

My faves include:
Oliver & Company
The Lion King
The Sword in the Stone
The Emperor's New Groove

Fave Pixar flims:
The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Wall-E
Toy Story 1 & 2

Very nice.

No, it's good teenagers take off their clothes. :veryhappy: 😉

I agree. The only sequels of Disney animated features that I actually like are Lion King 2: Simba's Pride and Brother Bear 2 (which actually made me cry...).

Aww, you no like Tarzan, Treasure Planet, and Brother Bear? 🙁

101 Dalmatians. The original from 1961 please.

Mary Poppins. P. L. Travers was still living when this film was made, and was said to have hated it. The Mary Poppins from the book was it seems a rather dark brooding character, not at all like Julie Andrews in the movie.

Hehe... so 'Hamlet' was the basis for 'The Lion King', so how in the world do you make a sequel to 'Hamlet'??? 😀

Then again, at least they didn't base it off this version:
