Actually its more like a pin, and the vibrating makes the area rather numb, ive actually nearly fell asleep durin my sessions

The first one i nearly dozed but then my skin got pinched and i almost punched him(reflex), i dont recall the second tat cuz it was several years ago but i was leanin on the chair just relaxin to the music, the cfh hurt a bit cuz of the large black fill in. But yeah, i get comfortable fast, same with givin plasma, they warn not to fall asleep, but its so damn comfortable

Its all about where on yer bod, the guy who did me has his inner lip tattoo'd and it didnt hurt as much as the ones he got on the bottom of his toes apparently

I believe the "King of Kings" gimmick comes from/originates from a recent "western-type" movie he was a main character in.

I was sweating bullets at 5 pm and my chest was being squished against the top of the chair, my back was killing me from not being able to move for an hour and a half

but yeah, ive been fortunate to have awesome people to be my artists, competant work and reasonable prices. I have yet to get a Tat from anyone else than them. Ive driven 60 miles for that, well that, pizza and meeting Ozzie guillen and gettin a hug from him,teehee(male teehee)

I have an "Awen" (an ancient Celtic/Druid symbol for inspiration) on my right wrist. I want to be a writer, so I got it in hopes that it'd help me avoid writers block.

I'm thinking of getting a koi fish on my back next.

Correct me if i am wrong but you have openly attacked people here and on TT about themselves gettin inked either with tribal or oriential tats by stating "what tribe are u in" etc etc and stating your current inkwork is ok'd cuz u are of irish descent(even tho celtic in origin is not irish but mainland europe\slavic origin). So since u are debating getting a koi fish, which is an oriental design and animal, i simply ask, are u Japanese at all? If not, it would seem your attacks on other ink membres are hypocrital.

Also, i hardly see the signifcance in gettin a carp on yer bod(yet its personal choice in the end so get what you want) but carp are the garbage fish of the animal kingdom and getting what u want on yer bod, not caring what other think and gettin what u feel u want despite what others think is the main focus.

The king of kings reference is wide ranging, in popular culture and in religion. Most notably in catholisism with jesus christ, but also rangin with all religions, stating that their main messiah is the ruler of all rulers, but there is also historical precedent to the king of king idea. Pretty much, in overall, it means an overhyped wrestler wants to state he's better than everyone else

I don't think I replied to this one yet....

I have two - and want to get one more.

I have one on my right leg about two inches above the knee - a rose with it's stem piercing a heart - and one on my right shoulder, a symbol a guy made up trying to get it as the national symbol for bisexuality.

Because I work in a library and because I sing I wanted them where I can easily hide them, so they're rarely seen. I did my best to photograph them for you folks.

As for the third one - I want to get the words "EXIT ONLY" tattooed above my butt.

I'm serious. I want to make it clear that the backdoor is a no entry zone. Plus I think it's funny.

on my first tattoo (upcoming)

When I was taking a week off in Hawaii I was floating in the warm water and suddenly I decided 'I'm ready for a tattoo now.' I had never felt a need for one or desire for something permenant. At that time and going forward it felt right. I had to figure out what though.

I soon concluded I wanted a dragon of some kind but something that isn't a traditional representation. I decided on something tribal, something involving the Kabalah since my family going way back are Kabalic Jews. I described it to friends and showed them images of similar things and what it might look like. I talked to a friend of mine who is an artist who would draw it when I found some more examples.

This week at Comic-Con two of my friends had bought a piece of art and showed it to me. While they were telling me the story I was speechless and kept pointing at it. Finally I said "shut up, stop talking, that's it that's what I want." I told them I'd know it when I saw it and I was right.

I don't want the writing on it. I might replace it with Hebrew, I'm not sure yet, or what it will say. The funny thing is I liked it before I knew what the translation meant or what the title of the piece was, or any thought behind its creation. Learning more about the piece only confirmed that this is what I wanted.

I am going to have it done as a henna tattoo first and show it off during Burning Man to get an idea of what people think about it before I do it in a more permenant sense.

PS: Yes I did talk to the artist about having this as a tattoo and he is okay with it.

Holy crap, was I really that damn uptight back then? Sheesh, it's amazing how people change over time. I'm embarassed reading my old posts here! LOL

I've added two more to my artistic body since I first posted in this thread 5 years ago. One is a large tiger butterfly my good TMF friend Lite inspired me to get on my left bicep, and the other is the Japanese Kanji Symbol for the word "Tickle" or "Ticklish" on my right upper chest....a few inches below my collar bone. I'll still likely add at least one or two more to my permanent collection at some point down the road, but I'm done for right now.

It's really nice having a skilled tattoo artist as one of your best friends...lol. He's done all of my inkwork, and I get AMAZING deals on them (2 were even free...gifts). He's been living in Alabama for the past 2 years now, which is why I've not had anything done recently, but he's looking to sell his house down there and move back up to my parts. YAY!
