Anyone got a tattoo?

Tattoos do not hurt that much when you get them. Then again, some people would say that it depends where you get them. That's why I went with my bicep, a place that has some meat to it so the needle isn't jabbing into bone. The closest comparison to the pain I've heard is that it feels like lightly dragging a toothpick across a mild sunburn. Not that bad. Now, try pulling a tightly-rolled camouflage sleeve over a fresh tattoo (If there are any Marines reading this, you know what I'm talking about.). That doesn't feel too great.

i have several. i celtic weave on my left upper arm, a tibetan script on my inner left forearm. on my right arm i have the logo of the punk band, black flag on my wrist, a japanese symbol, on my inner forearm, a celtic grid on my inner right bicep and a star design on my upper right arm. i am working on a back piece at the moment. in terms of pain, very bareable and surprisingly the ones on the more sensitive parts, like inner bicep and wrist were not too intolerable. but again pain is relative and subjective and people have different levels of tolerance for different kinds of pain. it is an unusual stinging sensation, your first tattoo would be the hardest probably as the pain is something very unusual not one i experienced before which took some getting used to. my tattoos have no particular symbolic importance to me, purely decorative as i have tats, some which are nearly 10 years old that i am still proud of today.

I have a 3 year old, and one on the way!

I have a small celtic knot on my right shoulder blade. She's three years old, and I am scheduled to get the symbol of Ohm done on the small of my back this week.

Not going to go into detail about "meaning" and what not. Anything that I would permanently affix to my body would deffinatly be important to me.

Green chinese dragon w/ lightning bolts clutchin the yin-yang...eastern influence meets western influence...but they're not as snazzy as mimi's...esp. the blue feathers w/ the red heart (nice touch)😀

I got my first this spring~I read tarot cards for fun. My tattoo is on my back, of my favorite Goddess card, "The Star." It's really pretty, it's kind of big and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I have a large tat of a phoenix on my back, two black unicorns facing each other above my right ankle, and a butterfly on my right foot. The unicorns and phoenix were from my own drawings. I really like my tattoos and want more, and I want to learn to use the tattoo gun like a pro myself 🙂

I have an "Awen" (an ancient Celtic/Druid symbol for inspiration) on my right wrist. I want to be a writer, so I got it in hopes that it'd help me avoid writers block.

Since I have been watching the Tattoo culture reality shows "Inked" and "Miami Ink" my interest in getting a tattoo has risen.
I'll probably get a memorial picture of my dog Maxine on a meaty part like my shoulder or upper arm. Maybe I'll get the 3 capitol letters "TMF" on my other arm.
