haha a toothbrushing fetish community.

And on the Toothbrushing Media Forum there's probably a post about whether having a fetish about brushing teeth is weird and somebody has probably said

"haha a tickling fetish community".

If we're not weird, why do 80% of us refuse to admit publicly that we have a tickling fetish?

Then again, who really does admit publicly what they're deepest sexual fantasies are? The person who did would probably be the real weirdo.

Therefore, being a closeted tickle enthusiast makes you a normal person.

People also dont admit to alot of things non sexual related. Hell, in the early days u were considered weird and a ***** if u showed ankle or other bare skin or if u owned a motorcycle you were a deviant

Theres a diff between what is weird and what society percieves as weird. Someone here had this as a siggy, pardons for not knowing

Kinky is with a feather, perverted is with a chicken.

Thoughts

I think the confusion here lies in that there seem to be two meanings of the word "weird" being tossed around here without many of us realising it.

For example, are we "weird" in that the greater portion of society understands our fetish? Probably, yes. I think the now-infamous Sex and the City clip that dealt with what appeared to be a shoe/foot fetishist demonstrates that, at least in a closely related field to the broader tickling spectrum, public opinion of us is that we are "weird". So be it. For every member of the public that denotes US as such, we could take one segment of their life that we could interpret, from a certain point of view, as equally strange. Humans are eager to categorise people, so as to establish their own sense of identity: it's one of our big flaws. We are us, and you are them, because you behave like this. Therefore, we're distinct from you. This is unfortunate, but not important to our wellbeing and ongoing happiness.

However, this conversation also seems to be asking: are we "weird" in that our fetish is considered damaged or harmful, in any context? Probably not. I'm comfortable enough in that I've told a couple of girlfriends, even if it took a while, and they all seem quite happy to indulge me. Would I feel as liberal if I had a fetish that relied on causing pain, or something that is unrelated to human physical contact in the first place? I don't know, my friends. I just don't think I would.

Ive just looked at all the articles on think tank about tickling. And Ive really felt worried about a lot of stuff i read. Are we wierdos do we need psychriactric treatment? Do we have this fetish bcos of some mistreatment from parents or some1 else during childhood? I really am disturbed. Ive tickled my brothers gf plenty a time but purely playfully, can I not help this. And more importantly can we be put in the same class as homosexuals have been put in? Sticking outlike a saw thumb? I am quite worried.

I'm not a weirdo.....but here's what I am:

1) law abiding citizen; never arrested in my life....not even a traffic ticket/ citation (at age 44).

2) Skywarn spotter since 1982; try to save lives when dangerous storms/ tornadoes approach my area. Also try to educate the public to dangers posed by storms and how to prepare/ protect themselves from severe weather.

3) volunteer at a children's hospital.....trying to brighten the days of innocent kids suffering from leukemia/ cancer and other life threatening illnesses; also support several children's hospitals and charitable organizations through donations and volunteering/ fund raising activities.

I enjoy tickling/ being tickled; but ONLY willing women who enjoy it the same as I. I don't harrass others; don't tickle kids or ask teen girls/ young women if they're ticklish.....don't tickle any lady without her consent (am a perfect gentleman in the presence of a lady). Just because tickling is a turn-on for me doesn't mean I'm strange, weird, perverted, or strange......my conscience and common sense tell me most on this forum are the same as I; decent (kindhearted) law abiding citizens who are assets to their community.....not detriments.

Just my 0.02 cents worth...

Not at all weird. Well, some people think I am but it's not because I love being tickled. :happyfloa
Seriously, try to relax, you're not hurting anyone, it's fun, feels amazing, it's a way of bonding with dear friends. Anyone with a problem with it should recognize it as just that, THEIR problem. 😛

XOXO

"Wierd" is one of those words that can mean almost anything someone wants it to mean.

Are ticklers unusual? Yes, probably so. We can't know how many people are turned on by tickling, but we know that not many admit to it. So that makes us unusual. "Wierd" has too much baggage, though.

Relax, Joe. As far as I know, sexual orientation is not a mental disease and I don't think that being a tickle lover is a problem for my life. And what is this need to put people in categories (or classes as you said) ? Damn, if everyone who's different than his neighbour was put somewhere apart from the other, every single human would live alone on this planet. Only Nazis made classifications like that (eg : Black people have *** caracteristics...)

Me!, this 25 words sentence would like to say that if you dare to finish reading me, I will curse you into be a weirdo!
