I'm not huge on extra stuff for beauty, but I swear by Fructis for hair care. 🙂

Sperm is very good for feminine health... so is an orgasm. Your orgasms also bring out hormones that keep your bodies and immune systems healthy. An orgasm a day keeps the Doctor away, ladies!!

Sleep is good too... some guys can spot an unhealthy woman no matter how much makeup or over the counter stuff she uses!! It pains some of us to see you in that sort of condition.

Carrots are very good for the eyes... your eyes are needed to see things😀

Calcium and protein are also important... especially if you like bondage!! Those sore muscles will recover faster if you treat them with a glass of Milk. Go ahead and mix Oreo Cookies with the Milk... I didn't see it nor will I tell anybody. Protein will maintain muscle and help burn fat.

Complex B vitamins are so important for hair, skin and nail health!! Especially if you're a coffee drinker and a smoker because those activities strip the B's out of your systems.

You ladies covered EVERYTHING! The only think I can think of is for the ladies that use heat on your hair (hair dryer, curling iron, flat iron)....make sure you use a Heat-protector conditioner or spray before you apply heat on your hair. It's extremely important to use heat protectors if you flat iron or anything daily. These products are very good at keeping your hair shiny and strong, instead of having breakage from too much heat.

They also sell shampoo and conditioner, as well as a line of products, for hair that gets a lot of heat!

The best thing I have is change up your shampoo and conditioner every now and then... it seems to make my hair shiner and bouncier.

Also, put lotion on all over your body... your breasts especially. I find that it keeps my skin firmer and more elastic and it feels great the next day!

Lotion also helps get makeup off.

a good conditioner for any race.. is cholesterol... I know it is made for black hair.. but makes my hair so soft... .. I was introduced to it by a mother figure to me.. My pastors wife... use it in the shower and rince it out well if your white..so your hair is not greesy... it is the bommmm

Mustard oil is good for hair as well, all my Indian aunties use it. And for those of you who have Indian aunties, you will know that they are invariably correct about everything. Comb it through your hair and leave it in as long as possible, overnight is best. Get someone to massage it in, if you want to be authentic.

French kissing helps kill the germs that cause gingivitis and plaque.

This sounds bad but giving a bj and swallowing helps to whiten your teeth.

Thanks for the informative home remedy beauty tips. Anyway, I'll input about optical illusions of fashion to enhance...erm...beauty:

1. If you are too thin/too tall, wear horizontal stripes. Large patterns works best.
2. If you are overweight or small, wear vertical stripes. Use clothes with smaller patterns.
3. Darker colored clothes make one look thinner.
4. V-cut collars look better for pregnant women; don't look too cute by wearing raffles, etc.
5. Wear the right clothing at the right occasion
6. Blue eye-shadow is absolutely illegal
7. Wear make-up that matches your skin tone.
8. Guys, make sure your ties are in-line with the waist.
9. Right knowledge of clothes can hide problematic areas of the body
10. Think beautiful even if at times it feels bad.
11. Sunlight is the MAJOR culprit of photo-aging. No sunblock can do miracles. Avoid it as much as possible, especially in our present time. Vitamin D can be harnessed in other ways.

There are 400 calories in semen. Thereabouts. In the average ejaculation.

That's good news about kissing, though.

If you are poor OR bored and happen to have a lighter and a package of colored pencils lying around?

Insta eyeliner.

Just melt the tip briefly. YES It RLY works.

Can anyone give me advice for reducing skin rage after waxing? I get vile red bumps, particularly after pruning the undergrowth, due to sensitive follicles. I've found a really good waxer recently, so that helps, but I still have to take an antihistamine just before waxing. I've tried all the topical stuff I can think of, like aloe and etc.

The bumps are very ugly, and I'm paranoid that it looks as though I have a dodgy disease:cry1:

Geez Naughty, that sounds extreme! Why not shave that sensitive area? I have very sensitive skin and I just make sure that my razor is very sharp before shaving there...

Also ladies......Take great care of your skin! If you start at a young age...your face will look remarkable as you age. Wash your face with a mild face soap day and night, exfoliate and moisturize.....most important...use a SPF 15 or over everyday! Even on cloudy days...protect your face!

Witch hazel should take the swelling and bumps down, and then use cortizone to help with the pain. Or the bikini zone gel works well too.

Neosporin + Pain Relief also works well.

I think this thread is great and I find it fascinating, but I haven't been able to find anything that relates to me.

First of all, I'm a black woman with needs that no one has been able to address. Not your fault ladies, but as similar as we are, we do have differences in the cosmetics department.

I have two issues that I'm been looking for answers about; I have dark circles under my eyes that get darker the older I get. It's genetic and I probably can't completely erase them, but I'd like to do something about it. And I absolutely hate makeup but with the right product, will use it.

Past my face and back, my skin is horribly dry; it's been drier this year more than ever, especially on my hands and feet. Is there anyone who knows of a really good exfoliant that'll remove the dead skin and moisturize?? You'd be in my gratitude and debt forever if you can help me! I have tons of stuff crowding up my bathroom that simply doesn't work, and I'm pedicure-phobic and would rather take care of my own feet.

Any takers????

The best thing for dry and cracked feet:

In the shower, use an exfoliating scrub (anything that's really gritty works great, I like the Avon grapeseed body scrub) along with a good foot scrubbing wand. I use these little $.88 purple ones from Walmart. After that, dry them thoroughly, and then use a foot sander (Ms. Pedicure makes a great one, also available at Walmart). Then I use the Avon 8 hour overnight foot lotion (wear a pair of socks over it). I also love the Johnson's Babysoft Cream with shea butter, but I can't find it anywhere, anymore.

First of all, thanks!

I got hold of kerasal scrub that seems to help somewhat with the exfoliation. But there's a way to go, trust me! I bought some healing garden products too that I'm going to try this week to get my feet together.

I wish there was something that would completely exfoliate these peds!

You know Kis, you really are a mighty kick ass TMF female member, and there are times I salute you for being frank and a lot of times I find your post humorous instead. Let's see if I can help you.

So I am not so aquainted with black skin but I believe humans have universal biology.

Don't just depend on cosmetic applications. I am a vegetable and fruit lover since I was young. This is what I've been doing for some months recently... I eat 2 apples a day religiously (one during breakfast and 1 in the evening before retiring). I make sure not to combine anything with it for 30 minutes. I also do times of massive pure lemon juice drinking. When chance permits, I dedicate one month a year of eating pure raw fruits and vegetable seriously with no cooked meat, dairy and anything processed. I survived in many obstacles this life had blown me...it made my health better. I also stopped putting sugar on my coffee for a year now, after seeing my old relatives dying of disease. The recent apple diet helped my skin that I rarely need lotion. It will also help you have normal weight.

Hope this helps you. Don't be bothered too much by what you put on skin, but be conscious of what you eat. Goodluck!

Okay, I know you said you hate makeup and all, but try using a foundation with a yellow undertone.. just dab and pat it around the lower part of your eyes. Also.. MAC foundation will work as well.. its a stage makeup, So it covers pretty much everything. Also, atleast 3 times a week I would use cucumber slices, they sell them over in the cosmetics at walmart.

Hope that helps girl!

Ester-C (ascorbyl palmitate), a form of vitamin C that retains its potency, and alpha lipoic acid (ALA) ingredients for helping to abolish under-eye circles.

While proper diet and supplementation can help get rid of under-eye circles from within, there are also plenty of natural creams, concealers and other cosmetic products that treat the problem on the surface.

"Industrial-strength" lighteners found in most products include alpha hydroxy acids and hydroquinone. Both require ample sunscreen use. Hydroquinone can be toxic, and it may actually cause hyper-pigmentation. On the other hand, less intense lighteners, such as kojic acid, licorice, mulberry and vitamin C, diminish darkness only slightly, if at all.

Cosmetic concealers can make a huge visual difference if you want to hide your dark circles. Here's a superficial beauty tip: First, look in the mirror and lower your chin. Then, dab a clean lip brush in a skin-matching concealer. Finely paint the concealer on moisturized skin directly where the darkest part of the circle is and in between your eyes. Next, pat - never rub - the product with your pinky to blend it in. Burt's Bees and Borlind both make naturally pigmented concealers with the slight golden tone makeup artists look for.

Even caffeine has been shown to stimulate circulation and reduce swelling.

Dip black tea bags briefly in boiling water, then cool and apply to your eyes. Good sources of green tea extract, as well as chamomile extract, include;Nature's Gate's Ginkgo Ultimate Eye Cream and Earth Science's Beta-Ginseng Age-Protective Anti-Oxidant Eye Gel. Vivi EyeCe Cucumber Pads by Aurora contain not only a significant amount of cucumber but also chamomile, aloe, Japanese green tea and bilberry, among other powerful anti-inflammatories.

And cooling these pads in the refrigerator can add to their effectiveness.

Wow........nice responses ladies!:bowing::bowing:

I'm more impressed that they are so thorough and detailed. I have some work and some shopping to do. I also noticed a moisturizer advertised that goes on clear and matches your skin tone; does anyone know the name of the company and/or has used it before? I think Jessica Alba is the spokesmodel for the company-the product name just isn't coming into my head.

Boheminanne, thanks for the diet advice too. Sometimes it's just boils down to "you are what you eat" huh? I strive to drink one gallon of water/day before any juices or pop. I'm even blowing the dust off my Jack LaLane juicer because I need more veggies in my diet. It's just about getting to that next level; I've never been very good or consistent with my diet.

Thanks again!

Almay huh? Thought it was Revlon for some reason. Well, I'll have to look this stuff up and see if it improves my skin because it needs some help!
