Best cartoons ever

South Park, for sure. Its hands down the funniest show out there right now, and I love how its constantly making fun of how stupid people are sometimes. Oh, and I can't believe no one mentioned this yet: Dragon Ball Z. The dialogue was cheesy as fuck and it was probably the most predictable show ever (they always think the enemy is dead after they blast him with a huge energy beam, and then gasp in surprise when the smoke clears to reveal he's actually still alive. Classic), but it was a great action show with some very interesting characters. Ah, they don't make japimation like that anymore.

HOW COULD I FORGET FUCKING "EEK THE CAT?!"

I MUST BE BEATEN WITH A BAG ROTTEN ORANGES FOR SUCH A GRIEVOUS OFFENSE!

I also totally forgot about Spongebob Squarepants, Thundarr the Barbarian, and The Tick!

AND I ALSO FORGOT ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE!

The Animatrix was released between the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies. I highly recommend this DVD to any animation enthusiests. It's a series of several cartoons with varying styles of animation. This one here is one my personal favorites of the bunch.

Excellent animation, in my opinion.

I'm down wit Dat!

That series provides an excellent backstory for hardcore fanboys/girls!!!

"When you see an Agent...you do like we do. You RUN your ASS off!"

Most of those mentioned great.
Add to that massive list...

Inspector Gadget (original format)
Count Duckula
Danger Mouse
Galaxy Rangers (not power rangers, they suck!)
Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin

We've missed one of the most landmark series of all time I just realized. Japanese masterpiece of a series. Neon Genesis: Evangelion. What a head trip.

Snail Shell

In highschool, I used to like a japanimation cartoon called AKIRA. I rented it a bazillion times.

I don't know if I could watch it now, though. Tastes change, I guess.

How did I miss The Tick??!! Great show......not enough of them made. Thanks for adding that to the list.

Justice League Unlimited
Transformers the original G1 and G2 series not the new ones
Voltron Lion Force
Masters of the Universe both the original and new 2002 series
Spiderman the one that ran in the 90's
The Family Guy

My favorites...

The Warner Bros. cartoons including Bugs, Road Runner, Yosemite Sam and more

Rocco's Modern Life

The Wacky Racers (produced a number of spin-offs including Dasterdly and Muttly)

Bullwinkle and Rocky, and their associated cartoons including Commander McBrag and Fractured Fairy Tales

Timon and Pumbaa (I think it was the best of the Disney movie spin-offs)

The Simpsons

Gargoyles - I've never liked Disney, much less its tv series, but this was one of the most inspired series ever made. And what a soundtrack!

Funny thing about Gargoyles, the main voice actors were the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast. Jonathan Franks, Brent Spiner and the like.
It was their way of "cashing in" on their success.

I have quite a few but here are some of my favorites within the past few years.

Naruto- one of the best anime/ manga ever. great show whether it is dubbed or not. I recommend anyone who hasn't seen it to watch it. 9-10 Est. on CN

Justice League/Justice League Unlimited- One of the best cartoons to ever come out. JLU especially was one of my favorites. Making the Justice League seem evil because of there space station with a giant weapon, that the government thinks they will use against the world. Cadmus vs Justice League, that was great. and then the legion of doom versus the Justice League in season 2 was great. One the best there is.

Family Guy- one of the funniest if not the funniest cartoon ever made. I don't know any one who it dosen't offend. It offends me with a few topic, but it is overall hilarious. As Peter would say, it is Freakin Sweet!!!

America Dad- Also pretty funny. Not as good as Family Guy of curse but still has some funny political humor.

Those are more of my recent favorites. my old school favorites

Batman
Superman
Transformers
Yu-gi-oh
Pokemon

"Klondike Kat" always gets his mouse.

"I'll make mincemeat out of that mouse!"

Hell Yeah

Duckman is one of the most underrated cartoons ever! i bought the dvds of the 1st 4 seasons and each episode is better than the last. one of the few cartoons that has social commentary while still being hilarious.

I hope not all have forgotten Reboot! I had such a crush on adult Enzo...

And of course the cheesiest-of-all-time-video-games-cartoon: Captain N: The Game Master.

Damn, this one's a blast from the past...

But since I wasn't around then:

South Park kicks ass...
Family Guy kicks ass, even though it's drawn by manitees...
Drawn Together too funny to last long.
Daria was a classic.
Ren and Stimpy was a classic.
Simpsons has some good moments too.
Does Robot Chicken count? Because it also kicks ass.
And all classic Warner Bros. cartoons kicked ass too.

When I was a kid, I was all about the cartoons! Some may say that I still am even today, but what do they know? Anyway, my favorites (in no particular order):

Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends (Firestar was a hottie...literally)
G.I. Joe
Transformers
Silverhawks
Thundercats
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
Mask
Inhumanoids

As an adult, I've been known to enjoy the Justice League/Justice League: Unlimited series. I got them on dvd, good stuff!
