If by 'Slowhand' you mean guitarists who play tastefully and skillfully without doing alot of furious fretwork or 'million notes to a bar' soloing, then I'd say George Harrison fills the bill. Listen to his song "Something" and you'd have to agree that his solo says in a few notes what a lot of guitarists can't say in one whole album's worth of playing. Now, if 'Slowhand' means something else entirely then I say, "Never mind". By the way, Clapton & Gilmour are both excellent in their own right but I just love George. (Also, check out Robin Trower's "I Can't Wait Much Longer" from 'Twice Removed From Yesterday' album. It's been awhile, I hope that's the album I mean)
