That's a bit glib, isn't it? I understand people having strong feelings on a subject; why adults can't put them aside and debate rationally, especially something so uncarnate as the definition of friendship or the use of words to describe physical acts, is what I don't understand. Also how anyone could construe what Skippy said as offensive or an attempt to tell them how to think, that's likewise strange.
Ya think? Let's review.
You tell people reading that others posting are or aren't a certain way, instead of owning the declaration as something you felt to be as it was. You laugh at posts. Tell folks they're strange for their feelings.
There was no glib. There was me giving condolences to you. My feeling on it is that you're insensitive in your approach. As this is an internationally-accessed forum, you're going to step on some folks when doing that. It's allowed, though. It just means there's a growing group of people who will see what you do as unpleasant to them.
Socially, that means you're going to make people unlikely to want your company.
Over time that grows.
A simple bit of condolence, tucked into a longer thread, seemed a kinder way to declare that it's seen than a longer post. Had you wanted it private, though, my PM is open.
Now it is what it is. I assume you've a strong enough ego to be known for picking on girls and feeling no problem with it.
The ONLY place where this topic has further coverage should either be in another post, or in PM, as the only way in which it covers jealousy is where it's my feeling that few would be jealous of a lover who spoke poorly of their friends online.
Your call, though.

It seems absolutely bizarre to me that adults can't discuss this topic without getting upset; not just upset, but so upset they feel the need to walk away from it...
You just declared that that anyone who gets upset is bizarre. Ya did this.
You'll ever have my sympathy where you make such statements. It's what you TYPE here that's perceived, not your actual feelings and thoughts. We can't see them.
EDIT:
And now that you continue this debate, I move it to it's own thread. Those discussing how a guy and a girl can be "just friends" are encouraged to continue
