I think I have shoes older than him along with children ages 26 and 21. I am 48......now imagine how I feel?

I know how you feel, I'll be 29 in a little over a month and I'm getting to the point where I hate to see my b-day roll around.

I look at it this way, age is nothing but a number and your only as old as you feel [for me that is sometimes like 20 then others it's more like 90 lol]

I personally think this feeling of "I'm getting old" is deeply rooted in another feeling that you are not living life to the fullest. You see each year pass by as missed opportunity, hence the dread as each year passes. I suggest you really look within and figure out what you truly want to do with your life and make it happen. This is the only way to avoid that depressing feeling. I'm 99% sure your expectations of life at this age have not matched up with reality. Make it so.

For me it started at 40 and has gone nowhere but up! At nearly 49, it's all gravy baby......
