Great news that she's now 100% cancer free, but so sad that she needed this procedure at just 36. I can't even begin to imagine the roller coaster of emotions involved here.

Judging by her response in another article I read about her having the best looking boobs at age 90 and stealing attention from the other old ladies at the bridge table, she sounds like she's doing fine.

I'm sure she's just happy she's still alive. Makes you appreciate life a whole lot more I'm sure. Keeps you in check as far as what's important in life.

And no, I don't mean boobs. Even though, you know, they are...nevermind.

One of the few celebs I like and wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy smarter than she plays. I'm too lazy to check it but I know her mom was really really sick during her "Married with" stint. I think it was cancer. Christina made a smart move if that's the case. Boobs you can always replace, boys...

Oh, I know they can be replaced and she's even having reconstructive surgery within the year, according to the article. Just the fact that she had to lose them must be hard for her, though. By the way, you're correct that Applegate's mother also had breast cancer. In a TV interview I saw, Christina said she didn't want to have to keep going back for treatment and just wanted it all gone immediately. I don't blame her one bit.

I thought so, thanks for confirming. I actually interviewed her for a story once. I brought my book of choice (Erica Jong I beleive) and she brought hers (Dostoyevsky) I shit you not.
Medically (and yes I work in a hospital) it's a radical but VERY smart move, especially with that close family history. Although massive strides have been made in treating cancer, oncological treatment involves actually poisoning the body, causing permanent damage. Her smart decision eliminated all of that.
