There have been several posts about disappointment over clip quality. Maybe a constructive approach would be a listing of pet peeves that we see in clips. Here are mine:

1. When you can actually SEE that the cuff is so loose that the model could pull her hand out whenever she wants to. In a recent one by Czech (which makes lots of great stuff, IMO), she pulled her hand out by accident, looked surprised, and actually put her hand back in, all the while purporting to laugh hysterically. Producers, unrestrained is ok, but if the idea is that the model IS restrained, then she should actually be restrained. And if she gets out, take 2 extra minutes to show that everyone chuckles over the escape and fix the situation for the duration of the clip.

2. When the laughter seems fake. I agree that some who seem like they are faking may just have an unusual reaction, but if the laughter is a steady monotone, that’s a sign.

3. Where a cute model is used as a “ler” (okay so far) but then she clearly has no idea how to tickle.

4. Tickle Central makes lots of great stuff, IMO. But couldn’t they have more with the models wearing bikinis rather than T-Shirts? Perhaps the latter is a market niche.

5. Give the model at least SOME room to struggle. When she cannot move at all, well, again maybe that one is a market niche.

Other thoughts?

I'm personally a bit put off by how most tickle clips are getting more and more to be outright porn. While a hardbody getting her oiled up tits tickle is hot, I do miss clips where it's just an otherwise fully clothed girl locked in some stocks and getting her feet straight up tickled. I was watching some of those old Russian Cindy Tickle Abuse clips, and it's just her, in the chair, huge bare feet sticking out getting tickle tortured. That's it.

I miss those kind of videos.

i am not a fan of clips that focus too much on using tools for tickling as opposed to just regular old fingers. the hairbrush is WAY over used, although i do understand that in order to bring out the most in torturous tickling, the hairbrush is a great weapon. i like regular old finger tickling, where it is not necessarily torturous, but fun for the model. tickling should be fun!

There should be more clips with the girls having their shoes and or socks removed on camera before the tickling starts. Not just the lee starting barefoot.

1. Scene cuts every 15 seconds
2. out of view tickling (usually with a close-up on foot tickling and their feet are not that ticklish). Suddenly, they are laughing hard for no reason.
3. Constant screaming instead of laughing. Makes me doubt authenticity.
4. And, of course, fake laughter

How about if they bother you so much, don't buy them.

You don’t understand the point of the post. Obviously, if I knew BEFORE I bought the clip that the lee would slip out of the bondage and then put her hand back in, I wouldn’t have bought the clip. That doesn’t mean I should never buy a clip. Instead, it makes it legitimate to post the comment, for producers to read, that at least one customer would prefer not to see that. Similarly, when marcusb is annoyed to see scene cuts every 15 seconds, he would not have purchased the clip had he known that would happen. There is nothing wrong with him posting that annoyance. It’s tickling discussion -- the point of this forum.

I’ve noticed that you, “mrticklefeet,” have developed a habit of responding to posts by criticizing the post. I’ve seen you do that recently in response to others’ posts.

To take your words and alter them slightly, "How about, if the posts bother you so much, don’t respond to them."

The biggest pet peeve I have is screaming instead of laughter....that is not the fault of anyone in particular but I turn the clip off every time when it is just screams

3 pet peeves of mine already mentioned above. Great minds, huh?

The biggest pet peeve I have is screaming instead of laughter....that is not the fault of anyone in particular but I turn the clip off every time when it is just screams

-- I hate it when they scream! It may be how these ticklees react, but it could also be how excessive the tickler is. Either way, it's annoying. When I tickle & she's screaming, I ease up just a lil to get the giggles out. As far as I'm concerned, the "normal" response to tickling is sweet, genuine laughter!

- This has been discussed before, and as the poll results show: http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?219577-tickling-feet -- most of us think tickling with just your fingers is best! In any event, when we're watching someone get tickled, it's safe to say MOST of us prefer no tools, just fingers.

-- This I could not agree with more. If I want porn, I gots porn! When I want tickling, that's what I want - pure, unadulterated, down-&-dirty tickling!

Lers who don't know how to tickle. Just scrambling quick and acting like its just the action people are about. Slow and methodical is best

So much this. Just hate screaming or monotone laughter that drones on for like an hour straight.

My other thoughts is Ban the hairbrush for good, producer that use them should be fined! Its time to be more honest with the producers, if the clip is clearly a load of crap, why do so many of you say what a great clip! Stop the bullshit and start being brutaly honest, just say look mate you obviously can't tickle to save your life so do us a favour and stop waisting everyones time with your crap vidoes.

biggest pet peeve; terrible acting with a bad storyline, its not a movie, its a tickle clip

1. Constant scene cuts.. I don't understand why directors do that? Just play the whole thing if you need to give her a break let us see it.
2.Moving the camera around constantly. The directors are not james cameron. Filming a tickling video should and does not need to be fancy. Put the camera where you can see everything and dont move it! Or do what real tickling does with the simultaneous cameras!

While I do understand your annoyance with scene cuts, I doubt customers would be thrilled if a typical clip lasting 5 to 10 minutes included a portion in which all you see is the model getting her breath back for 2-3 minutes or even more. As a customer I would much prefer if that were edited out so that the clip can focus on actual tickling. I mean, seriously, are you really interested in seeing the ticklee taking a break?

Besides, there are tons of reasons for making cuts. It's not just to give a model breaks. A few possible reasons, at the top of my head (most of these having actually happened to me):

-There's a significant change in the setup, for instance the ticklee's toes get tied back, which is a really long and boring process not worth including in the final clip
-One of the models called another model by her real name by accident
-A model hurt herself or had a nasty coughing fit
-The producer had trouble communicating instructions to the tickler, who could only stare at him with a look of incomprehension
-The bondage wasn't optimal and the ticklee managed to free her wrist without intending to
-The phone rang
-The neighbors or the cops interrupted the scene
-The tickler tried a new technique or tool that didn't work, resulting in a period of poor tickling action
-Something so funny happened that the models simply couldn't stop laughing for a while, without any actual tickling going on
-The ticklee entered a phase of screaming or some other really grating verbal reaction
-The tickler took a painfully long time removing the ticklee's footwear, too long to keep in the final clip, but the producer decided to use a bit of pre-removal footage anyway
-The cameraman attempted to move the camcorder for a different angle, but it turned out to be an awkward process that looked and sounded really bad
-The cameraman accidentally bumped hard into the tripod, causing a really annoying noise
-The camcorder was running on a battery and the battery ran out of juice
-A lightbulb died, causing a radical change in lighting conditions
-The cameraman left the camera alone for a while, only to find out that it dipped forward while he was gone
-A model had a "wardrobe malfunction"

And so many other possibilities. In many cases cuts are made because of accidents or mistakes. You might not mind to see some of the blunders, but others might get impatient with them. Also, most of the time only the producer (and possibly the models) are aware of what happened, and the producer may have a really good reason for editing out some parts. Cuts might be annoying sometimes, but believe me, they're often better than showing the whole thing.

That being said, I do agree that producers should be careful not to do too many cuts, otherwise a clip can become almost unwatchable.

I'm afraid we can't all afford to own and operate two or more cameras. I certainly can't.

I'd agree with all of these..and there are countless more reasons besides..tripods getting knocked by a flailing arm, needing to replace memory cards, tripping over something on the floor, power cuts, concerns about disturbing neighbours, another model arriving while shooting etc. My most common reason for cutting is simply to switch to a new shot - on an M/F scene, I am the only person in the room with the model so there is no one to track around with the camera. I always use like to use a good range of close and wide shots nowadays to show the full body, upperbody, feet, overhead view, side view etc. My personal pet hate is clips that have a camera in the corner of the room that never moves...if a model looks great from every angle then I do my best to get that across and than means cutting to new shots.

Another common reason for me is accidentally getting myself in shot - I'm pretty good at keeping my face out and will pixelate it where necessary, but often a brief cut of a couple of seconds can save me a lot of time. Also, if I need to speak to the model or check they are ok, that will be cut. I'd say the coughing fit is another frequent one - it happens so often when someone is laughing continuously! Also, occasionally a model really will have to come out and pee..I realise that some people may believe 'lees should be forced to choke and pee themselves but I like my models to come back for more 🙂

I'd also agree with TheLastLaugh, that leaving these sorts of things in clips would just be a waste of clip space where no tickling is happening. I see a lot of complaints about clips that have several minutes of tying up or chatting at the beginning so I would have thought the last thing people want to see is cameras being moved around or models blowing their nose etc. I use to leave a lot more of the 'extras' in my clips but now I find myself cutting them tighter and the clips are better for it (I think anyway)..I have put an outtakes section on my website though!

My most common reason for cutting is simply to switch to a new shot - on an M/F scene, I am the only person in the room with the model so there is no one to track around with the camera.

I do that a lot myself. Even though the models do most of the tickling, I somehow can't help myself but try to get a nice variety of angles. That might mean moving the camera around. Sometimes I manage to do it fairly quickly and smoothly, but other times the process is quite awkward, especially considering my studio (AKA my living room) is kinda cramped. I might lose sight of the action for several seconds, knock the tripod over, get the tripod stuck against an extension cord or piece of furniture, make a mess of extending or retracting the tripod's legs or cranking up the central tube to raise the camcorder's level (which can make a hell of a racket), fiddle with the camcorder for way too long while desperately trying to get the ticklee back in the frame as the action goes on, etc.

Another problem is that since I've started using my current camcorder I've been insisting on using a mounted mike (as opposed to a separate, plugged in mike), which unfortunately can easily pick up unwanted sounds like me messing with the camcorder or putting the tripod down, which is not only annoying in and of itself but also makes the camcorder movement process even more delicate.

If I manage to move the camcorder without it taking too long or without it looking too awful, I might leave it in. But if I take 10-15 seconds to do it or if I'm so clumsy that the shot includes several views of the ceiling, the floor, all fours walls and my own ugly mug before finally getting a view in which the models are halfway out of the shot, I tend to edit it out.

Another reason I sometimes have for editing out bits of footage is when I talk, like you mentioned yourself. Sometimes it's to give the models a few instructions, and sometimes I kind of get caught in the action and can't help but comment out loud, interacting with the models a bit. I don't mind keeping a few of those quips in, but sometimes it's too obvious that I'm desperately trying to tell the models something. As for comments, they might seem like a good idea at the moment of the shoot, but it can be painful when I review the footage later. I just have to get rid of those annoying bits. I prefer to spare customers the embarrassment.

Speaking of scene cuts...

I'm not interested in a ten minute video, nine minutes of which is the cameraman and tickler sitting there laughing at the model because she made a funny noise or was so ticklish in an unexpected way that it caused everyone to drop what they were doing in amazement. (Kitty Greene, I'm looking at you.) Editing is your friend. Seriously.

Nothing I can say that hasn't been mentioned. One of my love/hate relationships is with editing. I understand cutting in these videos, in fact I think it could be a great tool for a lot of obvious reasons like, give the impression it's one big session but allow the model breaks between cuts so that we can get more from the situation. Also, helps focus our attention on some of the finer details. But there can be a lot of senseless cutting and we are forced to focus on the wrong things. Stable, steady long takes work, and don't always get used properly or are badly composed. I'm not asking for Citizen Kane here, just a little thought because we want to see the model in a position where we can see the face, the struggle, the tickling and the tickle target in a way that fits all in well.

Another one is sound, it annoys me. I love Tkltkltkl's stuff, but he needs to stick to natural sound for his clips. They are so erotic to watch but the sound distracts.

Storyline and acting don't bother me, I kind of like that in some ways. It's a roleplay thing, but sometimes they are a little terrible.

-- Can we just say for the record that this may annoy some(maybe very few) people? For me, I don't mind; in fact, I really like videos that have the right amount of editing & scene cuts. It actually shows that the tickle session is MUCH longer than we think, which I find awesome!

I don't mind clips that don't have many cuts & show some of the setup - but let's be honest, most of us probably FFW thru these parts, right??

Fair enough, some are annoyed by it and some don't mind it or even like it. Although I still get the feeling that if I included too much footage that's not actual tickling my sales wold start to plummet.

Focusing on a model's feet during an upper body tickling scene.

I'm not sure I understand this one. If the focus is on the model's feet, doesn't it make it a foot tickling scene, and not an upper body tickling scene?

I could have put that more clearly, I guess. What I meant was focusing the camera on a model's feet while tickling her upper body - in other words, turning away from the tickling action for gratuitous foot shots. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's annoying.

Oh ok, that makes sense. Yeah, I can see how that could be annoying.
